I have very mixed feelings about Broadview Lodge where I stayed during a conference at the University of East Anglia. First, the staff are wonderful, nothing was too much trouble. I was given assistance with bus bookings and other inquiries were handled professionally and pleasantly. Thank you! Secondly, the accommodation is very average. I was not surprised to be given... This is within the very beautiful campus of the University of East Anglia and, unless you were going to visit a student (as I did last week) you might never know about it. That said, it is a fair way from the centre of Norwich but buses are frequent (although quite expensive at £2.40 a journey) and taxis plentiful and... More

I have stayed here twice. The rooms are a great size -they have the advantage of a fridge and a large selection of teas and coffees for guests to use. The heating is controllable and there is a fan provided in case it gets stuffy. The staff are absolutely brilliant and very accommodating. The breakfast at INTO is very good... More

You dont go to UNI as a mature student to spend the night other than in prep rooms working through the night with your cohort .... haha ........... so when I had to think on my feet the other day to find somewhere to stay .... I remembered Uni has a Hotel/lodge. Well done you - simple, immaculate, but all... More

V basic accommodation, definitely feels like a halls of residence. Bed quite comfortable, otherwise nothing much to recommend it. Rooms are incredibly hot and airless (even during a cool wet summer). Had to go to another building (in the rain) to get breakfast...which was like a motorway cafe (congealed scrambled eggs, soggy toast). Fine if want the convenience of being... More

It is a convenient accommodation for attending meetings and conferences at the University of East Anglia or at the John Innes Centre, but it is too far from Norwich city centre to be a good place for leisure visits in the area. The twin bedroom was clean but too small: the space was not enough to leave two suitcases on... More

I have been staying at Broadview Lodge for three nights every week for the last five months. I highly commend Olwyn, the Manager, and her lovely team. They are wonderfully friendly and nothing is too much trouble. The Lodge is a bed and breakfast with uniform rooms which are spotlessly clean, comfortable and warm. It is on campus so there... More

UEA, famous for it's James Lasdun architecture, and for offering one of the best student experiences in the UK also has great and reasonably priced on-site accommodation. Broadview Lodge is just a few hundred metres from the broad that gives it its name, which in turn is in the magnificent park (bursting with wildlife!) that houses UEA. The staff are... More

I travelled to UEA to visit my son and as I was arriving late in the evening Broadview Lodge seemed the ideal place to stay. Having walked around campus trying to find it and then being met with a locked unmanned reception I finally gained access via the security office. This was a friday evening and student parties were already... More

The rooms here are much more pleasant and modern to stay in than a lot of university guest accommodation that was furnished in the 70s/80s, but unfortunately Broadview Lodge suffers the same lack of services as most B&Bs in this sector - the campus is in the middle of nowhere and most of its facilities do not open in the...
