It's always hard to find accommodation in Central London. This is indeed one of my favourites. I used to study at LSE and lived in LSE High Holborn Residence. I wanted to book HH but it's too affordable that it's full so I booked here. It's slightly more expensive than HH but it's still great value for money. 1 min... More

Excellent accommodation for young travelers and backpackers. it's okay for families as well as it is very friendly for older and younger generations, but the rooms may be a bit small for some. The location and the cost are what really put this venue at the top. Its 2 minutes walk from Trafalgar Square, and I'd wager there isn't anything... More

Stayed here the middle of September. Arrived around 9.30am, which was earlier than the check in time. Girl at the desk was happy to give us the key to the luggage room which was on the same floor. This was great as we wanted to get out quickly and enjoy London and not have to trail around our cases! Came... More

Spent four nights here in early September, 2011. Two minute walk to Traflgar Square and less than five to several underground stations. Room and ensuite clean and staff very helpful. If you want good accomadation at a budget price this is the place to go. This is our second time at a LSE residence and will definately return More

Was down in London in August for one night with my daughter & we wanted to stay in the centre of town without spending a fortune (the whole family had been down in February & stayed in one of the big Hotel chains & ended up spending a fortune!). Came across LSE on 'LateRooms.com' & took our chance. The price... More

So yes, there was no TV in the room, the carpet was stained and the bathroom was miniscule. It's almost as if it was a students' dorm... Oh, wait. Let's start over, shall we? So yes, all of the above is true. Now, if you could just answer one question: what on earth would you expect for 52 pounds a... More

My friend Ali and I booked a twin room here for a night in London, the room was dirty upon check in with cheap worn out towels, uncleaned toilet/ bathroom and a broken window. The heating didn't work but best of all was when we awoke in the morning to find mouse droppings on alison's duvet. They had been left... More

For budget accommodation in a top location in London, Northumberland House is terrific. Trafalgar Square at one end of the street and the Thames and Embankment Station at the other and Charing Cross Station, the theatre district and The Strand just around the corner, this accommodation provided a basic but clean place to stay. We walked to Buckingham Palace and... More

We have stayed three times and would stay again but there are problems. 1) The bathroom pods ARE very small and quite dark inside. 2) The notice in the kitchen offers internet access in the basement computer room but reception would not provide login details because "commercial" guests are not allowed access. 3) The wifi is unreliable - we got... This is a little gem for the budget traveller. En suite accomodation slap bang in the middle of London. Minamalist but clean with access to a kitchen for self catering. All this within a stone's throw of Nelson's Column. Amazing. There is no TV so you need a digital radio or some other entertainment source! More
