The first time I stayed at this hotel in 2005 it was a good hotel and since then I have stayed here every year. It is now better than ever cause its been entirely refurbed. The reception area is classy. Stayed in a double room, a newly refurbished, spacious room with all new fittings. Everything in the room worked perfectly.... More

I stayed overnight at the Melville whilst on a business trip. I chose the hotel because of the mainly good reviews and its proximity to where I needed to be. I found the staff at the Melville to be friendly, courteous and welcoming. My room was on the top floor and being a small hotel there is no lift -... More

What a delightful experience the hotel and its staff provide - such lovely people, nice rooms, the atmosphere is lovely. Would have no hesitation recommending this lovely hotel and will definitely be back. A short walk from Kings Cross station and it was only 10 min's on the tube to reach Bank (city professional) where I was working. The hotel... More

Let me start by saying, I have no idea what hotel 18 other reviewers were looking at but it's certainly not this one?! So, why do I think it's SO bad here? On arrival the receptionist was polite, but is hardly what I would describe as 'welcoming'. He gave me a key and said; "Your room is on the top... More

Dear Sir ; We are more than happy to help with luggage and we often do so without asking. Elderly couples and solo female travellers are always asked to leave their luggage and we will carry it for them ; it is our policy . Young men we hope will be able to manage this themselves : but if you... More

Great location - 1 minute walk to Kings Cross St Pancras stations and just a short tube ride away from Covent Garden. We stayed for two nights and had room 38 – right at the top of the building. It was all spotlessly clean and looked as if it had been recently refurbished. The room was very small and the... More

2 min from Kings Cross stn, room very small but very clean, and as a base for a 3 day stopover whilst on a training course it did the job! Staff were friendly. Only for the fit though as a winding steep staircase led to rooms and mine was top floor. Pillows were anazing and although small, the room had... More

Everytime I have to go to London I know where to book! Melville Hotel, Excelsior Hotel and Albion House Hotel all located in a wonderful square by King's Cross tube. I had a wonderful room at Melville facing Argyle Square, very comfortable bed, nice big shower. People are really friendly at desk and at breakfast...thanks Patrick, we'll be back soon!! More
