Ashley Hotel offered a very good price, as well as other like hotels in the near vicinity. I had the single room and shared a toilet and tub, but all things were more than fine. In fact, never once was there a conflict in using times with another visitor. The shower/tub room is separate from the toilet room, so there... More

The hotel was under construction while I stayed there, but other than the scaffolding outside, there wasn't much of a disturbance to the rest of the property. I stayed in a single room, with a shared bathroom. The room was the size of a double bed, and the bathrooms were awkward, with no shelf in the shower to hold toiletries.... More

Please avoid this place. Room was like something from 'risng damp'. En suite was a cupboard but really grotty. There is no way of locking the room from the inside. Whole bedroom in desparate need of cleaning, redecorating and new carpets. No sleep water gushing noises every 15 minutes or so. Early in the morning the ceiling in the next... More

I visited London on what should have been a fun and exciting visit for work experience, but turned out to be the most miserable few days ever. Obviously if money's tight, this hotel appears to be a good deal, but trust me, you are worth the extra money. As an unemployed graduate completing work experience, I could barely afford the... More

Like most other people have commented this is a run down filthy hotel. THe paint is peeling of the walls and ceiling, mold in the shower etc. By no standards can this be considered value for money. Was travelling single and stayed for a night, got a tiny closet on the top floor, the window did not close right so... More

This B&B was ridiculous, the smallest rooms ever, a badly filthy carpet in the room, the sink in the desk (!) and the bathroom so small you couldn't turn around, with mouldy walls. You had no place to put any luggage and the wardrobe just had hangers. The courtains were with holes and grey/dirty and you couldn't lock the window.... More

I was staying at the Ashley Hotel on a business trip and it was a late booking. The hotel is situated about two minutes walk from Paddington Station and is therefore convenient for both Tube and mainline services. It is a Regency style town house that has been converted into a hotel. I arrived in mid evening and was met... More

I arrived in London from South Africa in September on a business trip, never having been in UK before. I booked Ashley Hotel online and really did not know what to expect. I found that it has a very convenient location, walking distance from Paddington Station and good transport links to everywhere. Even though it is located in central London,... More

In the vastly overpriced London market, nobody should expect a lot from accommodations in that price range. If you keep your expectations low, you'll probably do fine. Location is a major positive point going for that place, as it allows super-quick transportation to and from the airport (it's steps away from Paddington Express) , and yet it's close enough to...
