I always stay at this place when in London- it's so cheap, and conveniently sited. The rooms are generally pretty clean (and when they're not, it's usually due to the other occupants, not a lack of effort on the staff's part), plenty of showers, and best of all- NO BED BUGS! I love the grounds, and if you are lucky... More

Crowded dorms but ok due to smart layout. Great price and a good choice if you're not into a party trip. Two different subway stations close by and easy to get around. Nice neighborhood. Recommended if you intend to spend most time doing things in London. No curfew but difficult to drop in late without disturbing others. More

I always stay here whenever I'm in London. I love the location, the building is wonderful, and you can't beat the price for this area. Big kitchen for guests to use, good common area, lovely breakfast etc. I can appreciate that it might not be to everyone's tastes - it's not a "party hostel" and it the showers etc are... More

We stayed here with our Children's Choir. We know what YHA accommodation is like and were pleased to find such a central option. Great service was given before we arrived. The rooms are basic - but they are very inexpensive. Parts of the exterior buildings are beautiful. We only wanted to sleep here and didn't arrive until 11pm after our... More

I've stayed at Holland Park a number of times over the past twenty years (it was the first YHA I stayed at on first trip to Britain from Oz) so when I turn the corner off Kensington High Street and stroll up the spectacular approach to the hostel through Holland Park, I enjoy that bit of 'familiarity' feeling... Spotlessly clean... More

The building was very pretty, and very nice with the waterfront and mini ripple pool up front. It was not super comfortable having to sleep in essentially drawer-beds however, (although this is common with many YHAs in London), and as with most YHAs, it is rather expensive with no inclusions for anything in the price - extra pay for breakfast,... Hi, Many thanks for your review, We appreciate your comments about the building and the small pond we have, we are proud of the building and of course all the history attached. Im sorry you feel our prices are high, our current overnight price is between £15-£20 per night (only £12 on Sunday nights until late Dec) which of course... More

“I was the teacher party leader for the school trip described by ‘tomcat030’. My school has held the same trip to London for the past 7 years and we have stayed at Holland Park Youth Hostel for 6 of these years. We have always found the hostel to be extremely accommodating in terms of their level of service, standard of... More

Hi, Firstly may I thank you for taking the time and effort to put your review and response on Tripadvisor. I appreciate your honesty and feedback. Took a group of sixth formers to stay here in October 2011. Stayed in a 12 bed dorm..... very happy with the price..... the dorms were clean and functional. Toilets and showers were down a few stairs but this didn't bother us. Bring your own towel and padlock to lock away valuables. Breakfast was good. I was not expecting a... More

I am an Aussie on 'Walkabout' around Europe and have found the YHA Holland Park Hostel situated in the beautiful grounds of Holland Park to be a tranquil and 'homely' hostel destination. The staff are extremely pleasant and eager to assist with any enquiries. Facilities such as their self-catering kitchen, common rooms and large dining area made the visit even... More
