First, the positive aspect of the Jenkins Hotel is its location. It is less than a five minute walk from both the Euston and Kings Cross train and Underground stations. The British Museum is about a 10 minute walk. There are also plenty of good restaurants in this pleasant neighborhood. Unfortunately, the negatives outweigh the location. The breakfast was average....

We stayed there for two night with our little baby. They give us a room on the second floor without lift, which was not ideal. The breackfast and reception was in the nearby judd hotel, across the road. The maintenance and the status of the hotel was poor...uneven walls, floors, stairs, very old forniture, carpets and beds. The cleaning was...

We stayed at Jenkins for 6 nights in April. The hotel had been OK when we stayed there a few years ago and expected it to be the same. Unfortunately it wasn't. It had been taken over by the adjacent Judd Hotel and has deteriorated.
A good example of the lack of interest in the property was that the owners...

Dear “Marina D”
Thank you very much for posting your experience at Jenkins hotel on Tripadvisor.
As you mentioned in your review that we have taken over the Jenkins hotels
A lot of old guests are still returning to the Jenkins hotel. We have started to make a significant positive difference in the property. We still offer the same facilities...

We have been staying at Jenkins off and on for fifty years since my father found it. We always had a warm, friendly and personal wecome which made up for the vagaries of the place. The decor and breakfasts improved over the years and we learned which rooms were best. We knew the owners, who also worked in the hotel,...

My boyfriend and I recently took a trip to England and had stayed at Harlingford Hotel for a few days before traveling elsewhere and returning to London where we stayed at Jenkins hotel. Not only was it odd that we had to turn in our key every time we left, but our room was very dingy. The double bed we...

Thank you ‘Danica B’ for reviewing our hotel.
I am sorry you didn’t enjoy your stay with us. As stated in previous responses we bought the hotel only a couple of months ago and have already made a few positive changes like a new hot water system and television receivers.
We ask you to leave the key with reception when...

My wife and I just got home from a trip to England and France. The Jenkins Hotel in London was our first stop and by far our worst. We stayed at this hotel mainly based on previous favorable reviews on Tripadvisor but either these people had extremely low standards (which I doubt) or the new owners have let this once...

Thank you ‘Jesnbas’ for taking the time the time to write a review.
As previously pointed out we took over the hotel a mere 2 months ago. In that time we have installed a new water system, a digital system or the televisions and are now in the process of installing a new telephone system.
The only changes we have...

So many things wrong....I'll just list them:
- The heating in the room did not work. Asked them to fix it when I checked in and several times after. I was told twice it was fixed and never was. I stayed two nights and it was finally fixed on the morning of the my departure (!). The hotel staff admitted...

I stayed at the Jenkins Hotel last year. It was a delightful, homey, little hotel, with a very friendly and helpful staff, so, of course, I returned again this year. Apparently, it was bought by the Hotel Judd across the road several months previously and everything has changed. The televison did not work the four days I was there. There...

Many thanks 'Paul M' for posting your review.
We took over the Jenkins a few months ago and the only changed we have made are to move the reception and breakfast to our sister hotel The Judd which is 10 metres accross the road.
We inherited the heating and water problem from the previous owners and have since rectified both...

Booked for 4 nights, but stayed only one.
Shabby rooms with add on bathrooms, plus mascerator toilets and Victorian plumbing, equals the noisiest hotel ever.
Shower ceased working mid flow, sink tap wouldn't turn off, Internet access is a sham, etc etc etc
Truly awful
