Only 5 minutes walk from Chalk Farm tube station, big plus only 3 stops into London for all the key connections for all the tube lines at Kings Cross. As we approached the hotel we thought what have we let ourseves in for. Does not look as though a window cleaner has been there since it was built!!Some of the brickwork... More

I stayed here on business during May 2012. I've stayed in many, many London hotels - and this has to be one of the worst of them all. If you're driving here, firstly beware of the car park - small, cramped, impossible to navigate around - fair enough, this is London and space is at a premium, but it's ridiculous... More

The hotel is in a nice area about 10 minutes walk from Chalk Farm Tube station,The road is on a slight incline I had broke my ankle a few weeks before and was glad to be in a wheel chair. We arrived early and as we were going to a rugby match we left our bags at the reception. We didnt want... More

Really poor room which despite booking on line, we were charged £10 more than the rate displayed in reception. Really shabby room which has a unclean feel and a damp, old smell about it. The furniture was shabby and had not been dusted for a while. We couldn't bring ourselves to have breakfast there and had to walk down the... More

Dear madrongirl, we take pride in cleanliness of our room and I would totally disagree with the comment on furniture not being dusted, none of our rooms are smelly or shabby. Being a senior contributor I am surprised that you could blame the hotel for not making it during breakfast time and having to walk in the rain, can not... More

This hotel is a joke! I was given a room which looked so old and sad that I felt genuinly sorry for people who are planning to spend more than 1 night. The wooden furniture had a smell from the 70s. The chairs were soiled, nearly half of the lights were not working. Staff are foreigners with very little understanding... More

Just returned after enjoying a three night break at this hotel. The hotel is in a good location. I do agree with other comments that the hotel is in need of refurbishment but the twin room we had on the first floor was very clean with comfy beds and a good clean bathroom. Breakfasts were excellent with plenty of choice... More

We were given an underground basement room, with no windows. The room was very small, so two people sleeping/showering in it with no fresh air made for a very stuffy weekend. I personally think a room with no windows is unacceptable for somewhere charging hotel prices - I have stayed in bunk houses that offer more comfort. Additionally the bed... More

Dear rhi_1805, Small room ?? we probably have the most generous sized rooms within our class of hotels in London, even comments from our customers on Trip Advisor will stand testimonial to the same. Rooms on our lower ground floors were commissioned in 2011 and hence are brand new with all modern fixtures and fittings along with state of the... More

The pros - clean sheets and towels, efficient (enough) heating, plentiful hot water, free (for now) Wi-Fi. The cons - VERY tired decor and furniture. Jaded public areas. Single-glazed windows. No air-conditioning. Noisy plumbing. People smoking outside the front door in their pyjamas! Like the remainder of Alex Langsam's Britannia Hotel chain, this hotel is in urgent need of MAJOR... More

Dear Lexy1968, I value your comments as a senior reviewer, however, do not agree with them, this is because, if Premier Inn or similar were providing better quality at similar pricing than we would not have your "esteemed custom". This alone clearly re enforces our brand value and policy of providing best value for money rooms with any comparable hotels... More

Dear Blissjo, Your reservation was for a standard room but my reception team had upgraded yourself to an executive room on the plaza floor as complimentary to ensure the family are comfortable and enjoy their stay with us. False comments like these just demotivate the team in their efferts to provide exceptional service to our guests, We would have been... More

quite a handy location for the tube and the park. However we were put in a room with no windows (so got bery stuffy and claustraphobic) and the most uncomfortable bed ever- the mattress had clearly gone so why hadn't it been replaced? Breakfast was overpriced, with possibly the cheapest sausages on the market. More

Dear Froggy3891, I would completely disagree with your comments, our rooms on lower ground floor were only commissioned in 2011 and hence are less than a year old, we have a state of the art ventilation sytem and all fixtures and fittings are brand new. Mattress in the rooms are new as well so can not undertand the question on... More
