I always use this hotel when going to theatreland. You have to ask for the things that are missing e.g bathrobes etc but staff are willing and helpful. Great pillows ---sleep like a log More

I stay in this hotel often, its central and very convenient. I like the candles put out in the hall and up the stairs, M&S and Boots, just outside in the station, are handy for those things you can't take on aeroplanes any more. I like having the theatres and cinemas close by for the evening and The National and... More

Dear Guest, Thank you for your comments posted on Trip Advisor. Standard amenities are automatically provided in the room but the hotel does accommodate requests such as bathrobes and slippers. As you may be aware, the hotel is a Grade II listed property and room sizes do vary even though they belong in the same classification. I am pleased that... More

Stayed for one night. The hotel was fine and I had no problems and the location was good. It just lacked a few things I would have expected from a 4 star hotel - no bathrobes, no mini bar although there was bottled water in the room. The decor in the main areas was nice but I found my room... More

Dear Guest, Thank you for your comments posted on Trip Advisor. The hotel has refurbished 83 Executive rooms and has a robust maintenance programme so all rooms are kept to a high standard. Concerning the mini bar, this can be stocked upon request as stated in the guest room directory. We have bathrobes and they are available to guests staying... More

We arrived late for a swift check in. Our view was rubbish but typical of a lower floor room in London & I didn't actually request anything special. The room was spacious, clean with modern decor. Mini bar was empty apart from sparkling/still water - again this can be filled on request. Bed huge, Fluffy pillows & very comfy. The... More

We have just had a wonderful weekend here. We stayed at their sister hotel The cumberland earlier on this year so thought we would try this one. Our room was very nice. quite big for a deluxe double. We didnt have any bother with noise at night and slept very soundly. At night the reception and stairways are lit up... More

Hotel was quiet nice and reasonably up to date. Price was what swayed me in the end as less than £150 a night for central London is a good deal. One problem though, my hotel door didn't lock. As I ran out of the hotel reception for a meeting I let them know. When I return 3 hours later, the... More

Excellent location as we could avoid the tube by taking a train to Charing Cross from London Bridge. Stayed in an executive Room which was comfortable and clean and couldn't find any faults with the room. Although we didn't have a meal in the evening we did have breakfast in the morning and it was fine. Also had a cocktail... More

This hotel's location can't be bettered - central to just about everything in the city and surprisingly quiet besides. Well appointed if small room, with nice touches like heated bathroom floor and towel rail and a compact safe. The reception area staff were polite, friendly and extraordinarily helpful. Breakfast was plentiful (but everything got cold quickly). However, there were issues.... More

Dear Guest, Thank you for your helpful comments posted on Trip Advisor. I am concern about how the breakfast team came across as haughty, as we always emphasise to our staff of the importance of good customer service. I will ensure that the team is made aware of your experience, as we do not condone such behaviour. The mini bar... More

Do not be misled by the loaction. The hotel is quiet and well run. The rooms are good but it is worth paying a little extra for improved rooms. Breakfast facilities have been improved providing more space. The staff work hard and are helpful and generally everything works well. In terms of location this is an excellent choice. OK so the location is perfect and the room was fine if not a little noisy when the people above walked around. Problem - I was in London for a meeting and had gone down the day before to give me time to do some work away from the office. When I asked for internet access I was told that... More
