Stayed at The Aloha for one night on business recently. Having to pay my own way, i naturally chose a budget stay! The Aloha was perfect just for a nights sleep. Ok, the room was small, and the bed was not that comfortable, but with the bathroom next door, it had everything you need - TV, kettle, chair AND FREE... More

I can't understand all the harsh reviews, as I had such a good time staying at the Aloha. I couldn't believe that for the price I paid (16 pounds) I got a single room even with sea view (in other english cities I got a single bed in a dormitory for this price)! I was welcomed by the owners who... More

Stayed in this hotel last year for 2 nights last sep 2011. If you are fussy then this is not the place for you. Hotel is dated and could do with a complete overall, but was clean. Room we stayed in had a excellent sea view. Staff were great very help full. Breakfast very good. Stopping there again soon. 2... More

I cannot believe some of the comments that have been written. Yes the hotel is dated and needs refurbishing and modernising, but it certainly isnt a hell hole far from it. Kirsty and Alex were such great hosts you couldnt fault them, they made us feel so welcome and really put themselves out, we booked for three nights and stayed... More

The owners are nice enough if a little weird and grubby. When they showed me and my 2 young kids and mrs to our room I nearly cracked up laughing. The room smelt damp, cracks and stains all over room, wallpaper dated and hanging off. I told my wife if she wants I'll pay for a decent place within 10... More

I thought the bad reviews were a little bit harsh but having stayed there they are not harsh enough!! Time warped decor stuck in the 70's with furniture and very dirty stained carpets to match, the only half decent part about the stay was the cooked breakfast, the table cloth hadn't been changed for a while and had stains left from previous...
