Been here for a weekend break more than once. It's a lovely quiet location away from the road, and set in grounds overlooking Lake Windemere and service is still very much the order of the day. Not cheap but an ideal place to go for a treat!

Attended a family wedding in this glorious old building. Although old, the 'workings' are new! Lovely warm room with a lake view.everything you could need in the room. Amazing, staff went that extra golden mile,the room amazing. We only stopped one night.Breakfast fantastic, cooked beautifully and on hot plates and to top that the view whilst having our breakfast was truely amazing and breath taking,looking over lake Windermere.
