We spent 2 nights at this friendly and comfortable B&B, and loved every minute of it. Great location, private parking, super clean room with shower, yummy breakfast made to order, and very quiet but central location. Would love to stay again.

This bed and breakfast is not the most spacious but if it's cleanliness, comfort and a warm welcome you want at an affordable price, then it's certainly worth a visit. The host, Joe, greeted us warmly and was happy to help with general enquiries such as how to walk into town without getting lost! The town is just a few... More

2 adults plus a 7 year old and a 3 year old needed to stay in Windermere for the weekend. Many B&B there will not take children but we found this. It's located in a quiet cul-de-sac, walking/buggy distance to the centre though, and very near a large park with playground. Warm welcome, parking often available and good advice on... More

We stayed two nights (family of three) at Greenriggs. It is an excellent location just a couple of blocks to the town centre and 15-minute stroll to the lake. The weather was atrocious while we there with storms and flooding closing roads but the accommodation was pretty comfortable. The only criticism really was the room size, which was cramped for... This lovely B & B is perfect for a no frills stay in Windermere. The owner is very hospitable and gives his own personal touch.. He cooked us a lovely full English breakfast with cereals, toast and drinks, all included in the very modest price- We had a triple room for 2 of us (due to availability) and paid £64... More

A lovely stay in Windermere. Couldn't fault the location, cleanliness or service at Greenriggs but unfortunately found our room too small. We were staying in a family room and our party consisted of 3 adults and a toddler. It was difficult to move around the room with the all 3 of us and the toddler's bed - she was too... More

This lovely stone cottage is a wonderful place to stay in Wndermere. It is within easy walking distance of good restaurants and pubs and is clean and neat as a pin. Joe, the host is very helpful and cooks up a super breakfast. This is a great base to use to see the Lake District.

Boyfriend and I stayed at Greenriggs for the weekend in Room 5 (which is in the attic) The B&B is in a good location in the centre of Windermere Village which is approximately a mile walk from Bowness and the Lake. Windermere has a some good restaurants and pubs, nice way to spend a few hours wandering around with its... More

We stayed here for a night. Its probably one of the cheapest B&Bs around and there were no reviews to go by, thus we felt it was a gamble. But it paid off. Its within walkable distance if you dont mind a brisk 10-15 minutes walk. (but with luggage etc) not recommended. Take a cab from Windermere station, all Cabbies... More
