Just returned from our 3rd visit to Whinfell. You cannot really get a better place to holiday if you have children. There is so much to do for them. The whole concept if centerparcs is too keep you on site thus spending money. If you enjoy sports and activities and bottles if wine and barbecues in your verandah watching wildlife then this is the holiday for you however,if you like to explore the surrounding area or have late night parties and pub crawls then this may not suit you.... This for me is the best of all the Center Parcs. Seems to be more compact that the others but still has the same tried and tested formula. There was plenty for all our family to do and we range in age from 47 down to 1, which means the activitys need to suit a big gap .so child friendly it helps make everyone feel relaxed, my grandchildren had a wonderful first big swimming experience and will grow in confidence thanks to this . More

Really good place to take kids. Lots to do and plenty of activities - we tried ten pin bowling; pedallo-ing; pottery painting; archery; swimming and splashing in the sub-tropical "Paradise"; carriage ride and the aqua sana. Lost count of many times we have enjoyed family breaks at Whinfell. Lovely weather helps! Good location in Bilberry wood. Never disappoints! Book meals in advance though. More
