“friendly economical and convenient”

We stayed for two days and found the staff helpfully and friendly. The atmosphere was relaxed and the location could not possibly be better both for Keswick itself or the Lake District as a whole. We stayed at the Inn over Christmas and had a wonderful few days. The staff could not have been more helpful if they had tried. I am sorry you endured some maintenance issues on your visit. Unfortunately we are a former eighteenth century coaching inn and sometimes it is unavoidable. We do sell our rooms as comfy and cosy. We had two twin rooms at the Inn last weekend. Whilst the rooms are small, they are well presented and were more than sufficient for our needs. Stayed here whilst doing coast to coast. Pleasant room clean and comfortable . Great breakfast and pub meals at night good. Would stay again even if not doing the coast to coast . Also right in the town centre so can explore the town and handy for the lakes

“Charming, historic building in the middle of it all”

Small, historic building. You have to duck to get through the door into your room. Floors are uneven. Clean, basic accommodations in a charming little inn. Don't expect anything luxurious, but rather an experience commensurate with the area.

We will stay at the Inn at Keswick again.Good food, great selection of ales, friendly staff in a relaxed atmosphere, all set in a superb location. The staff are always helpfull and the traditional pub setting is excellent. We hope to return later in the year.

I stayed here for 2 nights. The hotel/pub is located in the town centre of keswick. The room we stayed in was very spacious. The staff are very friendly, James was great and very knowledgable about the area. There is a great selecton of breakfast and they even offered to fill your flasks of tea and coffee for the walks....
