My husband and myself had a great two night stay with our dog. Alan & Chris were very helpful and non-intrusive. The weather was lovely and the Glen's location perfect for visiting The Lakes, walking our dog at The Helm and of course visiting The Station Inn just two minutes along the road!! I'd highly recommend The Glen.

We had a lovely stay last weekend. Such a lovely view from complimentary upgraded family suite as a Birthday treat. We felt looked after during entire stay and full English breakfast next morning was fabulous.

We have just returned from a lovely weekend at The Glen, We had lovely breakfasts, clean rooms and the dog was made extremely welcome too. The Hot Tub was an added bonus after a hard day walking through 4 foot snow drifts. Just the job to warm up cold bones!

I stayed here whilst doing a climbing course in the area. The staff were great, the room was very comfortable with everything I needed in it. the train station is 50 yards in one direction and there is also a great little pub 50 yards up the road serving good food and local ales from 5pm until late.

We stopped off at The Glen on our way back from Scotland recently. I would recommend The Glen for it's friendliness (including to our travelling cat who got a scratchpad and treats!). We had very nice rooms with everything we needed. A very good breakfast too - thank you!

Excellent location for visiting Lake District or Yorkshire Dales and very close to Kendal yet quiet position. Very friendly owners cannot do enough for you. Large, very clean family room with excellent view. Good variety of breakfast choices very tasty.

We stayed here for the third time to attend the Kendal Mountaineering Film Festival. It has always been very good, and the owner Alan is a really helpful and excellent Host. There is also a pub 100yds up the road with good beer and menu. Best of both worlds !
