We stayed here, in an annexed cottage last week. As the visit was a gift from our daughter (via Wowcher) I cannot comment on the cost to myself, but for what we had, the price paid was extremely cheap!. The room was excellent and so was the showeroom (although no bin in there). Power shower and lovely big soft towels... More

We stayed for 2 nights and really enjoyed this hotel/pub and the village is lovely. Our room, No 9, was fairly snug but beautifully furnished, high standard of curtains and blinds, and a lovely en-suite with the best white fluffy towels we've had in a hotel for a long time. The receptionist told us a designer had helped with the... More

We're a 25 year old couple - hubby and I stayed here on a wowcher deal. It was £89 for 2 nights B+B and ended up being excellent value! Hotel great location, lovely evening walk up to the church and fields. Room was lovely and spacious, very comfy bed. Be sure to make the most of the complimentary wine (served... More

I recently stayed here for my boyfriends birthday, what a find. Hotel is comfortable and gorgeous. The recently refurbished room still smelt new and fresh, the view from the window was lovely (room 101). I would highly recommend this hotel, the staff were very friendly and approachable, I had a personal request and it was dealt with a minimum of... More

My girlfriend booked this via Groupon as a birthday present for a two-night stay with breakfast. Our room (101) was lovely. Very comfortable and clean and well appointed. We ate in the hotel on our first night and the food was lovely. There was also a good range of real ale on tap. Breakfast was nice and there was plenty... More

Just spent two nights in room 3 of the Queens Head and it was fab! The room was beautiful with a lovely bathroom. We were on a DBB rate which was excellent value as you could choose from the main menu, which was pretty much fine dining, beautifully presented and tasted superb. All the staff were very friendly and helpful.... More

We've just returned from a two night stay here. The newly refurbished rooms are lovely and comfortable. The staff are cheery and helpful. The breakfasts are excellent with the option to have a Bucks Fizz and the best yogurts in the world - Longley Farm. The cooked breakfast is cooked to order so very fresh with good quality bacon and... More

Really lovely staff. Extremely pleasant team of three women who know how to run a bar. Very helpful and fun! Food was very good for pub food, although the Welsh rarebit was a little underwhelming, but this is a minor quibble. Beers excellent. Now seriously considering spending New Year 2013 here.

A great small hotel - currently undergoing a complete renovation. New rooms are very nicely appointed. Service is great and friendly. Cooking in the restaurant is incredible for a small pub/hotel. Highly recommended.
