I love the Beacon and have been here for dinner and drinks and the beer festival on many occasions! I think it's one of the best locations in Tunbridge Wells with amazing views in a unique setting. Most recently a group of eight of us had a long lunch there and they gave us a private room upstairs - it... More

Very comfortable clean bed, but areas of the room needed more detail. Cobwebs around curtains, wooden floor unloved! Bathroom - lovely roll top bath etc all items clean, however tiling needs a good wipe down and the bathroom door had obvious dust sitting on the door panels and splashes all over it as well as dirty finger prints running all... Splendid views and lovely grounds - staying here would be particularly nice in summer when you could make the most of its great location. Staff very friendly. The restaurant had a nice atmosphere and the food was good. We stayed in the Georgian room which, although slightly shabbier than shown in the website photos, was pretty good. It looks out... More

We recently stayed at the Beacon for our wedding anniversary. I found the hotel online and was pleasantly surprised to find not only was there a murder/mystery event that evening but accomodation available too. We were a little apprehensive having put ourselves forward to be detectives for the murder/mystery scenario, but were quickly enveloped in the evening's entertainment, asking questions... More

This is a little jewel. Only three rooms, one of which is a single. Each room is decorated differently in unique style, and very stylishly indeed. The beds are extremely comfortable and our short stay couldn't have been nicer. The hosts waited up for us as we checked in late, and carried our cases up to our rooms cheerfully. Breakfast... More

Just outside Tunbridge Wells in lovely country setting. Charming building with lovely grounds. Our room was big with period features including a roll top bath. Very comfortable bed. The bar was very cosy with a nice fire to sit in front of and read. Owners and staff very friendly and helpfull. Would definitely stay again.

Beautiful hotel about half mile from Tunbridge Wells centre. All rooms are individually decorated. All are spacious with most comfortable beds and quilts. Lots of lovely touches. Great views over Tunbridge Wells from some rooms. Curtains not needed as you see the stars from the room. Fresh breakfast with local produce with excellent croissants. Very good priced menu. Very friendly... More

Well-appointed rooms (especially the doubles), great food at reasonable prices and engaging staff make for a very pleasant hotel. Functions were held both nights which kept the noise levels up until midnight but people soon filtered away. I left my shaver in the room and they promptly replied to my request and sent it back to me.
