We stayed for one night. The Hubert is well-located: a 10 minute (uphill) walk to Dover Castle, 5 minutes to the downtown core, and 15 minutes to the white cliffs trail. Peter was a pleasant host, and the room was very clean and quiet. I highly recommend staying there.

We stayed for one night during the week and this is easily the best hotel I have ever used for that purpose given the price. It had off street parking on site, the room was very well decorated (themed) in top condition and exceptionally clean with a large range of complimentary bathroom products as well as quality tea/coffee refreshements. Although... More

In an effort to understand my own experience here, I read through several previous reviews, paying particular attention to the negative reviews and the management responses. It seems like this is a good place to stay as long as you do everything on their schedule and don't complain about anything. I was in England on a walking holiday, and after... More

Good place to go if you like family-run places with character. Well run and clean. The parking areas a little tricky getting into (beware the low wall - epsecially in the dark) but there is plenty of other parking in that area of Dover. The hotel is a tall townhouse - so maybe not suited to those with limited mobility.

I hate holidays, but even I enjoyed staying at the HHG! Good size rooms, competitive prices and very good facilities, above what I would normally expect.

For our first trip to the UK my husband & I wanted to experience a more typical English accommodation rather than a 4 or 5 star big name hotel. Hubert House could not have been more perfect. The host, Peter, was very caring and made sure all was perfect. Never mind the negative reviews...this guesthouse was perfect, the Georgian Suite... More

We really liked our stay at Hubert house. Nice and cosy with attention to the the environment. The room was small but cute and warm. Excellent breakfast. Definitely a must stay when in town. Alberto & Miriam

What a lovely place the Hubert House is. Had a fantastic meal in the Bistro served by the most dashing young man I have seen in a long, long time. His name was Luke I believe. Thank you so much. I will recommend you to all my friends. Kind regards, Mavis (aged 92)

This is a nice little B&B, The owner is friendly and the location is good. We took a room facing the front of the property and it has a view over small square at the front, parking is available at the side of the property. We will definitely stay here again.

A Charming Guest House and it is quite close to the Dover Ferry. We stayed there on our way to France and liked it so much that we stayed there 3 weeks later when we arrived back in Dover. The owner is friendly and very, very helpful and he makes a great breakfast. We had the Georgian Room which was... More
