On the 4th April a friend and i had lunch in the Restaurant. It was my first visit. Excellent Menue of English Dishes. The Starter Smoked Salmon, Salad & Bread and Butter.My main course was homemade Steak Pie with Chips and Vegetables. We had a very good Chilean Wine. I would and will visit it again.

Stayed over for just one night. The hotel is beside the main new modern theatre. Parking is extra. Breakfast was good.Room for the price are good.Staff great....Small lanes/roads in this part of town (which is part of its charm) so a little funny to find if driving......Overall a YES.

Lovely weekend, great location opposite theatre in city, great staff and food. We had no problems and felt so at home. We hope to go back soon

Myself and my other half were lucky to be upgraded to one of their newly refurblished bathrooms and everything was perfect! The location was amazing and the staff were brilliant. I stayed for four nights. Comfortable but small single room at rear up two flights of rather steep stairs so not good if you have lots of luggage. Breakfast not bad but toast a bit tired. Main problem was very small bathroom with sloping room; avoid room 9 if you are more than 1.7 metres tall!

stayed here over a number of months as a perfect location . worked on the rebuild of the marlowe theatre. rooms were always clean and well presented never had any problems with noise as mentioned in earlier reports breakfast was always a pleasure staff were extremely pleasant even early morning!! Despite the location, the room was terribly small as well as the bathroom. Moving around the room was difficult and we were only two. There was not a real wardrobe and any spaces for the suitcases. In the night terrible noise came from the street and there was something like a fan- or a shower-noise coming out from somewhere all... More
