Had a friendly welcome and a good nights sleep, breakfast was good. Did not use the self catering kitchen, so cannot comment. Cleanliness was okay.

I have stayed at many hostels and backpackers and this one really disappointed me. The kitchen is poorly equipped and is too small to cater for the numbers present. There are tents in the back yard anbd the people staying here with their families use the kitchen (naturally) and you cannot move in the kitchen at meal times. Aditionally if... More

Canterbury YHA Hostel is as dirty and filthy as the Dover hostel used to be. (fortunately it was closed last autumn). There is greasy dirt everywhere. We stayed in the tent accommodation with access to the bathrooms and kitchen in the main house. The tent was large and quite new with comfortable mattresses and bedding supplied.
