We came across this by chance whist looking for somewhere to stop for lunch. It is a wonderful place, the staff were polite, the atmosphere was great, the food was excellent. Will definitely go back there again.

Visited this pub/hotel for an evening meal. Staff very friendly, food fabulous - great choice.Lovely location although parking is about a five minute walk away as this is a very old city with limited roadside parking. Will definitely return and will also try the lunchtime menus.

We treated ourselves to a night in the Design House Suite at the end of our walk along the South Downs Way. It was great! Room was spotless, spacious, (2 TVs!) and comfortable.
