Everything was clean and bright, breakfast was excellent and our hosts the same! Having a guest lounge added to the Mayfair's amenities. Good communication for booking. Short walk from train station. A lovely stay.

The Mayfair was booked prior to our NCL transatlantic cruise in April so we were put up in their sister B&B- NUMBER 10 - just across the street. Looking for a tour for the day before our cruise and Mark recommended a great private hire taxi service -- another 5.. Breakfast was great!!!

very quiet, very clean, very comfortable even parked my car there under cover. made very welcome and given loads of local advice for sight seeing even though only there for one night as we cruised the next day, more than happy with our stay. taxi to port was £7.50p each way, will stay again.

I have stayed at the Mayfair on a few occasions whilst our daughter was at University, it is an absolute delight. You will not find a more friendly, spotlessly clean and comfortable place to stay. Breakfast is absolutely delicious and plentyful. In my humble opinion, you should not even think of staying anywhere else!

Lovely and friendly B&B - Mark and Andy are very welcoming and will make your stay a pleasure. They take lot of care in what they offer and breakfast is very, very nice, freshly cooked with nice ingredients! Highly recommended B&B! Location is close to city centre and you can walk to the University campus.
