Excellent location for ferry port. Basic but very clean. The only complaint - the mattress on the bed was extremely uncomfortable - felt as though I was sleeping on the floor! Am amazed at the reviews saying the beds were comfy - perhaps I was unlucky. Am staying again next week and hope for a different night's sleep! More

Between our group we had 4 rooms all on the same floor. The room was very clean but very small especially the toilet and shower but it served the purpose as a stop over before an early ferry in the morning but for £19 you cant really complain. The bed was comfortable and i slept well. More

A great place to drop off to sleep after a good night out. Only 15 mins walk from Albert Road. Nice and quiet. Rooms basic but clean and comfy. Didn't have breakfast here though, and would not have got a seat if I had wanted to. Sensible check-out time. More

This hotel doesn't give you shower gel, shampoo, body lotion etc. What it does give is very clean, very comfortable basic accomodation. The shower is hot and strong, the bed very comfortable and rooms have good noise elimination ie double glazing and heavy door. As we were heading to France on the ferry we needed just a basic stopover for 1 night and were pleasantly surprised. Chose the Etap over a B&B due to its great pricing. Clean and basic rooms with everything you need for a short stay. Perhaps not 'holiday' accommodation but serves a purpose with friendly and helpful staff. More
