We attended the HMS Hood annual reunion. The food was excellent, it arrived hot and there was plenty of it. The staff serving the food were very efficient, helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Service was quick, all 4 courses were silver service and everyone was eating at the same time. Could not fault this at all.

As other reviewers have commented, the RMC has a distinctly naval, slightly old-fashioned air about it. It has the feel of a Naval Mess about it. we stayed here for one night so did not have time to use the leisure facilities. The room was lovely spacious clean and fresh. Staff were lovely and friendly and the breakfast was really good. food was hot and tasty and plenty of choice. Would stay here again.

This place is amazing with so much heritage. Great Location close to the sea and great service from the staff hey were very friendly and nothing was to much hassle. Stayed here for a reunion weekend. The hotel is in an ideal location for shopping at gunwharf quay and visiting the spinnaker tower and historic dockyard. Breakfast is buffet style with plenty to choose from. In the evening if you're eating in the restaurant there are 3 choices of starter with 4 or 5 choices of main course plus dessert.... More

This hotel is very well located. The rooms were spacious, however they were very dated - though immaculately clean. I slept very well on both nights that i stayed. Breakfast was good. Overall, the hotel gives the impression of being very well run as you would expect. If you get this hotel for a good price its certainly worth considering!

Nothing fancy, not a 5 Star hotel by any means, but what this hotel lacks in fancy gimmicks it makes up for in good honest cheap and clean accommodation.
