We stayed to celebrate our 23rd wedding anniversary with a couple of good friends. The rooms are average sized. Our bath/floor/skirting looked a little tired. We did however have a terrace which would have been nice if the May weather had been kinder! Our friends had an upstairs room with a roll top bath. The bed linen is amazingly soft... More

We were disappointed after visiting the restaurant. The food was not more than ok. We had the tasting menu and it was mostly a little bit tasteless, the guinea fowl was dry. Because of the acoustic of the room it was very noisy and not very romantic. We had 6 different persons serving during the meal, so we didn’t feel... More

Spent a night here in half term with children, to go cycling in the New Forest, and enjoyed our stay. The rooms were comfortable and clean but the style was a bit 'TV makeover' and although it looked good, there were peculiarities eg lovely large rolltop bath and huge shower were nice, but there wasn't anywhere to put toiletries. Also,... More

Ate here for a special occasion and was impressed with the cooking and also the sommelier who chose a really interesting wine to accompany our choices. Breast of lamb with black pudding starter with delicious minted peas. Rabbit pie with tender white meat completely encased in perfectly cooked pastry. Coconut ice cream desert was top quality. It is expensive but... More

We were very keen to experience this hotel as all the reviews indicated it was a gem. Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed and throughout the staff were attentive and helpful. The bedrooms were spacious and well equipped, though in truth the beds were a little too soft for my liking. The general ambience was good, though there was little... More

We decided to try a Sunday lunch at this Hotel and were delighted with the whole experience. The staff were welcoming and charming and the dining room attractive with a good ambiance. The food was extremely good I chose the chicken for my main course which was the best I have had anywhere. Superb!.It is also excellant value for a... More

From the wellies at the front door and the rubber ducks and children's robes in our room - this place is faultless! And it wasn't just their child friendly approach but the high level of professional and informative service without any air of pomposity was refreshing and led to a fantastic stay. We will return again and again. The rooms... More

The review that we read of this hotel said that it is on the edge of the New Forest but to all intents and purposes it is IN the New Forest as it is only a 50 yard walk in to it. It is a lovely hotel with a beautiful veranda for eating and drinking when the weather is warm.... More

We booked a one night stay on a special deal for a Sunday night. It was great value for money. We had dinner in the lovely restaurant which was simply superb. A fabulous wine list as you would expect as it has been chosen by the most famous sommelier in the world. After a good nights sleep in a lovely... More

This was our second visit to the Terravina. The first time we visited was for a weekend stay, the second visit was for lunch on Easter Sunday. On both occasions we received excellent service. There is a brilliant management/front of house team who provide a sleek service in a relaxed atmosphere with sublime attention to detail. The food and ambience... More
