We have just returned from a fabulous stay at the Hare & Hounds. We had the Gamekeepers Cottage- and I would recommend it to anyone looking to book some time out. It was immaculate, the food was fantastic and the staff could not have been friendlier or more helpful. Hoping to return sooner rather than later!! More

Gorgeous hotel!!! We booked with secret escapes so had a fab deal, included breakfast & we had a silkwood room which is located in one of the out-buildings. We had olive room which was really lovely, great little tray full of goodies like hot choc, coffee, biscuits etc. And i loved the molton brown toiletries in the bathroom. The grounds... More

We booked this hotel in early January as we were to be invited to a wedding at Calcot Manor. We only required a comfortable bed in a clean, non-dog friendly room with a good breakfast, this hotel scored top points on all those needs. However, I have downgraded it from a possible 5 stars because we were on the top... More

Thank you for your very comprehensive review of your recent stay at the Hare and Hounds hotel. It is definitely worth enquiring about available room types at the time of booking as they are all so different in terms of shape, size and location. You certainly had a great rate for your stay, normally reserved for in house Weddings, so... More

Stayed here for one night last week, for the first of my 3 Hen Do's! I have stayed here twice before & enjoyed each visit. There were 4 of us & we had classic twin rooms in the main building, both really nice rooms, although my sisters was slightly better,(21) as it was about twice the size of my room... More

I like this place a lot. Service (particularly at the bar) is a bit slow, but otherwise it is a superb location and greate nsemble of buildings. Just round the corner form the Duke of Beaufort's Polo Club ,so plenty of hoorahs and occassionally a young royal are spotted. Been four time and always seems to be a wedding on unless... More

We stayed in the Silkwood Twin Room. The room was very pleasant, and it would have been lovely to make use of the outside sitting area if the weather permitted. Good features are wireless internet access at all times, bathroom has Molton Brown toiletries and nice tea and coffee making facilities. One very annoying item is the lighting in the... More

We stayed at the Hare and Hounds for two nights during the week of Badminton Horse Trials (the reason for our visit), which had been cancelled due to the very wet weather. However we decided to continue with our break regardless! We were very glad we did as the hotel is delightful. Our room (no 20) had views of the... More

Thank you for your review regarding your recent stay. The cancellation of Badminton Horse Trials was upsetting for all concerned , but like yourselves quite a number of people still came to stay and were pleased with their decision. The Cotswolds is a beautiful area and always worth a visit. More

We stayed here for two nights last weekend and found everything to be perfect (apart from the weather!). The hotel is in a very beautiful part of the Cotswolds and near to many attractions. Just seeing the outside of the Hotel was impressive and very traditional looking. Our room was large and comfortable with two chairs and a lovely oak... More

You have just cheered all my staff up! Losing Badminton was a blow, but kindly guests like yourselves make a great difference to how we all feel. I hope we may have the pleasure of welcoming you back to the Hare and Hounds in the future, when the weather is glorious and the garden is at its best. More

We stayed here in March we booked via Tesco Clubcard vouchers and we paid extra to upgrade the room to one of the Silkwood Rooms. Beautifully situated hotel, ideal for exploring South Gloucestershire. We stayed in a suite in Silkwood Court, it was spacious, very clean and well appointed. We booked a package with Secret Escapes, which although no refundable, was worth the risk. Included in the package was dinner in the Beaufort restaurant which was superb fine dining. More
