Stayed in the Kings Arms for my sisters wedding. It is a lovely hotel with nice quirky rooms. The staff were extremely helpful in getting everything sorted for the day and were happy to do everything just as my sister wanted. The food was great for the wedding, as was the breakfast. I would definitely recommend the Kings Arms to... More

Spent night before the wedding in cottage 1 with 2 daughters. Lovely. At breakfast on wedding day we were told the main rooms were ready and we could move all our stuff over. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Meal was fab and staff could not be faulted. Even at 3o'clock in the morning!! Lucinda and her team... More

I ate in the restaurant with ten friends on Easter Sunday evening and the overwhelming consensus was that the food was overpriced, poorly cooked and presented by embarrased staff. More

We stayed here overnight in April 2012 and we really enjoyed our stay. This is an historic building and the rooms and restaurant have a lot of character and charm. Our room was large and very comfortable. The staff were very attentive and friendly and we enjoyed our evening meal. Stow is an excellent centre and the town most attractive... More

My husband and I had the pleasure of staying here Easter weekend on the Friday 6th April until the Sunday. We had a truly wonderful time. From the moment we arrived we were welcomed very warmly. Our room was just lovely, even though everything seemed to be on a slant (we were in room 4) we absolutely loved it. The... More

We were over visiting from NZ and on our way back from Cornwall heading back up north. We stayed one night at the Kings Arms. One of the staff who was very friendly and helpful showed us a choice of two rooms before we committed. We chose the Royal Frolic room which was lovely. The only bad thing about this... More

We stayed at the Kings Arms in stow on the wold and it was even better than we had anticipated. The hotel is a cute building with lots of character and history. We arrived early for check in but it was no problem at all. The manager Ryan was extremely accommodating and very helpful. We ate in the Chop House... More

We stayed in room 8 "Red Squirel". It was a nice hotel, friendly staff and good food. The problem for me was the room was just too short, we were not warned about this until we arrived (long after we paid) at which point it was too late. I'm 6' 2" and could not stand upright in bare feet at... More

I run group cycle tours and regularly stay at the kings arms. The very friendly staff/owner are always accommodating. Homely bar and stunning brasserie upstairs both serving good food. Great location in the market sq. Recommend. More

We had a really beautiful lunch here this week. Although the restaurant only opens on the weekend, the selection of food available all day in the bar is wonderful, there's also a specials board. My other half proclaimed his steak burger to be the best he's ever tasted and my own venison pie was an absolute delight - lots of... More
