We stayed at The Grapevine for a night as a stop-over. Easy parking outside which is always handy, especially with a young child. Reception man was polite and helpful. We had upgraded to a bigger double room which was decent sized. It had character with beams, yet was modern with a nice bathroom. Nice and clean. We had requested a... More

The Grapevine is of a certain type, modern yet still in character with the Cotswolds. Staff were friendly, the room was clean with a comfortable bed and pillows. The evening meal was very good beyond what the menu had indicated so take a credit chef.

We arrived at lunch time to a pleasant restaurant but we were the only people there. My first 2 choices were not available . I then chose the Duck which arrived with 2 small pieces not even half a breast although it was delicious . My husband had a minute steak which was ordered medium but part was raw and... More

We have known this hotel for 15 years and used the bar/restaraunt as a family rendezvous place. It used to be comfortable, good value for money and traditional. Now it has a make-over and is uncomfortable in that hard chairs, hard floors, hard lighting cold echoing sort of way. The food is ridiculously over-priced, lunch portions of the light bites... More

I met up with my Mum here in December during a particularly cold spell! The hotel was lovely and cosy with warming log fires. Our room was okaaay - clean and practical but nothing special. We had upgraded to a 'superior' room but I'm not sure what we got for that. The staff were friendly and helpful but the best... More

Stayed in room 25. It was lovely and the en suite had recently been refurbished. The bed was so comfy. Breakfast was lovely and staff very helpful. My only Criticism is that there was no bottled water in the bedroom. Will definately return

I stayed at this beautiful old hotel 20 odd years ago, and chose it again to meet my daughter and spend some quality time together. We upgraded our room to "superior" for £10 per night. Not sure whether it was worth it or not, but the room was clean, comfortable, warm and perfectly adequate without being special. You have to... More

Called in early evening for a lite bite, ordered a few Tapas dishes to share washed down with a couple of large glasses of red.Hit the spot.Staff were very polite and efficient made to feel welcome. Not cheap! but I don't think the wine helped with total cost. Thank you.

This is a beautiful old building in the heart of Stow. Yes, the rooms are in need of some tlc but the location and the friendly staff more than made up for any shortcomings. Breakfasts were excellent & served promptly. If you are staying 1 or 2 nights then don't be put off with the minor re-decoration needed in the... More
