We walked around Stow having decided to stay last minute. Lots of places were full or very expensive but we were offered a small double room at a rate that is reasonable for the area. The lady on reception was really nice and very helpful and showed us to our room. The room itself was rather small but it was... More

My partner and I stayed at The Grapevine for two nights on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis as a pre-Christmas break while visiting the surrounding area. Our room was very lovely - clean, warm and quiet with a large, comfortable bed, generous tea and coffee provisions and a good sized bathroom with two sinks, The food (for breakfast and... More

We stayed in Stow on Wold in run up to Xmas. Cracking town with great shops, restuarants and pubs. We specifically wanted to find a really nice comfortable restuarant to eat in and while we wandred around the town we called in and visited various options. We decided to eat in the Grapevine and we were looking forward to sitting... More

Excellent heating, very nice room, genuinely home-cooked food, welcoming and friendly staff who were excellent with small children, even providing paper and pencils. We shall come again. Young grandparents. More

We were in a group of friends celebrating combined birthdays [65 y.o.] over a three-day weekend stay. The hotel is well-situated in the centre of Stow, has its own car-park, and is comfortably furnished, if a little dated. The weekend was made, however, by the helpful, friendly and hard-working staff, ably led for much of our stay by the deputy... More

We enjoyed a mid week visit & found the staff welcoming & friendly. We had an excellent meal & could not fault the staff. The ground floor rooms are clean & cosy, & there was a lovely log effect fire burning in the bar area. We have stayed here several times before, & enjoyed our visit just as much; infact... More

We stayed on a 2 night deal including breakfast on both days and a 3 course meal on 1 night. We stayed in one of the Garden Rooms. The room was very pink but clean. The bathroom needed updating and a number of other minor issues should have been sorted. The light above the bathroom mirror was out, the telephone... More

Hotel has been in receivership, but David and the team seem to be turning it around nicely. Few problems with the WiFi, but much improved by rebooting the modem and router! Zoe and the other staff were extremely friendly and helpful - nothing was too much trouble. Food was excellent - thanks Chef! Would stay here again. We had two... More

We had booked one night (in season) as a last min trip but had to postpone the stay due to sudden illness. They would not book one night again and we had to book 2 nights of a king room at full rate later in the month (out of season). On arrival we were greeted by friendly staff who showed... More

Hi we stayed in a king size room (number 5) for 2 night for my other half’s birthday, our room over looked the main road but it was on the third floor so not very noisy, if a little warm (you are in the rafters) the room was recenltly furnished and was very nice the bathroom was clean and tidy...
