We stayed there recently. The room was very clean, the beds comfortable, breakfast was good, but the room was TINY. There was no place to put the suitcase, nor was there even room to lay it out without stepping over it. No real place to unpack, very little room in the bathroom to place your stuff without it falling on the... More

AMAZING! We stayed here beginning of May 2012 for our 5 year anniversary. We felt very welcomed. It's well worth booking the Windmill Suite, the views are beautiful, bed is wonderfully comfortable and everything in the room was to a luxurious standard. Being Coeliac, it was a pleasure have the option of the delicious Gluten Free breakfast also! One of... More

We have just returned from a 2 night stay for our Aniversary, in The Windmill in Rye. The suite we stayed in was actually in the Windmill, the Four poster Bed Suite. The bathroom was very clean and very large, all the toiletries were provided you didnt need to take anything with you , it was all there. The place... More

What I loved - Staying in a real windmill. Novel! And also easy to find (forgot the satnav). - Being able to park, but also v near 'downtown' Rye. Could happily hobble home in my heels. - The enormous and fabulous suite....but I didn't stay in it (got a look, as my friend had that room). What I liked -... More

This is a lovely B & B. The owners are really friendly and helpful, the rooms are very comfortable and tastefully furnished, and the breakfasts are delicious. They have their own parking on site which is a big plus in Rye. Very short stroll to get into town. We had a great weekend. More

We stayed in the Windmill Suite, which is the top floors of the original windmill itself. The bathroom is huge, and reached up a spiral staircase from the main bedroom below. There is a lovely shower and a very comfortable roll-top bath. I have slept i hotel rooms that were smaller than the bathroom here! The main room is stunning... More

Just returned from a 3 night stay at the Rye Windmill. An excellent place to stay. A friendly welcome from the owners, Gill and Brian, and lots of information about local attractions and where to eat etc. All very laid-back and relaxing and the breakfast choice is really good. We had one of the standard double rooms, as opposed to... More

We stayed here for two nights and were very pleased. The accommodation is a restored windmill and there are rooms in the mill itself and also in the associated buildings. We stayed in the first floor of the mill which had a four poster bed and a wonderful bathroom with shower [I have slept in rooms smaller than the bathroom!]... More

What a beautiful place to spend the first year anniversary for my girlfriend and I. Gill and Brian were really friendly, welcoming and informative owners. They really care about their B&B! We stayed in the Widmill Room, with the four poster bed. I've travelled a lot around the world, and this is without doubt one of the nicest rooms I've... More

You'd have to work hard to find a more unique place to stay than Rye Windmill B&B. It has a perfect setting just a few minutes walk from the town centre shops, restaurants and attractions and is visible from many parts of the town. The hospitality is first class too and Gill and her team work very hard to make... More
