Even if you don't fancy Hastings for a seaside break the White Rock is worth the visit. The hotel radiates calm and charm as do the staff who could not be more friendly. Our room was a delight, with a sea-view and Spanish windows. Room was spacious with a very comfortable bed and arm chairs. Bed linen was crisp and... More

My husband and I stay at this hotel whenever we are travelling in this area because it is so easy with our dog. There are dog treats on the bar, the staff bring bowls of water for the dog, you can eat in the restaurant with your dog at your side (there is a dog free area in there too)... More

Relaxed vibe here. The good: the view of the sea and the pier (destroyed by fire), the room is clean and the bed fine. Large bathroom. Free wifi. Dogs allowed. You can open a window, beware of streetnoise. Less good: dampness in the carpet near the fridge. Some parts of the bathroomdoor dropped on the floor. No safe. Narrow corridors.... More

Stayed here for a long weekend in May. Very friendly staff greeted us. We had a sea view room which was decorated nicely and a good size. The view over the beach was nice, but such a sad looking pier! The room was very hot, with all radiators on when it was not needed. Had to sleep with windows open... More

Have Just spent another Lovely weekend at the White Rock with our Dogs. They were more than welcomed. Had a comfortable room with plenty of space for our dog crates. It was so good being able to go to the cafe bar with our dogs and not have to leave them locked in a room on their own . The... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. It's a pleasant walk to Hastings Old Town and there are plenty of eateries nearby though we preferred to eat in. The food is quite good and reasonably priced. Even better - they don't charge you any extra if you want it brought up to your room. Wifi is free and serviceable and there's... More

We keep coming back because we love it ! A great Family run establishment. Fabulous welome; staff; food; bar; ambiance; power-shower. It's all 200% great as far as we are concerned. We always do a walk on the South Downs/Severn Sisters starting at Eastbourne, but we always stay here in Hastings. We wouldn't stay anywhere else when we are in the... More

I don't usually like hotels but this one has three major plus points for me - the location is great by the sea and near enough to the attractions, a relaxed atmosphere with its homely lounge bar to while away a few hours and thirdly it allows dogs. We all loved it and will return.

We felt the hotel was so far along the coast road, it was more towards Bexhill-On-Sea, nevertheless, it isn't a trek form the station, once you navigate to the coastal Rooms were fine, modern touches but compact & narrow corridors with free wifi. Rooms with sea view wasn't extortionate, & was quiet enough to hear the sea, without traffic-disturbing levels.... More

Overlooking the pier (sadly now ruined by fire), this is a welcoming and well appointed hotel, with an attractive bar/restaurant (with a good selection of wines) and an outdoor terrace for when the weather is more seasonable than in March when we stayed. Our double room overlooking the front was freshly decorated and a reasonable size, well equipped with tea... More
