We have just come back from a brilliant stay at The Hotel Du Vin. When we arrived we were warmly welcomed by the receptionist. We stayed in WJ King room, which was on the third floor above the pub. Stunning room with roll top bath! Very quiet one of the best night sleeps I've had in a hotel. We booked... More

Brighton's hotels are generally fairly poor but the Hotel Du Vin is up to the standards you would expect from this lovely chain. the rooms are spacious and cleverly designed with the bathrooms exceptional. one point you should not miss is the Pub Du Vin with its imported pewter french bar and fantastic gentleman's toilets.

I took my husband to Brighton for his **th birthday and booked the Hotel Du Vin. We booked in on Sunday 14th April 2013 and what a stay it was!! The hotel phoned me a couple of days previously to inform me that the Brighton marathon was being held that day and to advise me of the awful road blocks... More

Lovely hotel tucked away on the fringe of the Lanes in Brighton, and a just across the road from the beach, and a short walk to the pier. All the rooms have their own names, which makes it feel very personal. The bathrooms are fabulous, as are the amenities that go with them. There is an excellent restaurant, and a... More

I often worry when travelling with my dog as to what we can expect from a hotel that permits dogs..... This time I had no such worry - the rooms were lovely, fresh and clean and the staff went out of their way to make sure our stay was a good one. I will be back. A special thank you... More

Great room above Pub Du Vin. Large junior suite with bath in the bay window and double walk in shower. Only negative with the room was getting the temperature right. Breakfast was excellent, especially the fresh orange juice but try and take this included with the room rate. Staff were very nice!! Great location on the edge of the Lanes... More

My wife and I stayed here on our wedding night before we headed of to Cuba on our Honeymoon. First thing to note is that the exterior of the building as well as the reception and dining areas of the hotel are impressive. I payed a reasonably large amount of money (£400+) for 1 nights stay including a £50 bottle... More

The place to stay in Brighton if you can't get a sea view at Drakes. Our standard room the 1st night was small but quiet and comfortable. Our better room the 2nd night suffered from noise so although more spacious and with a better bathroom (roll top bath, super powerful separate shower), turned out to be not so much better.

The Hotel is located in a cul de sac, tastefully decorated with an at home feel to it right from the entrance. The lounge right at the reception is well decorated. The staff at the reception was really helpful and made me feel welcome right from the get go. The rooms are tastefully designed with Bowers and Wilkens docking stations... More

I actually won a competition for a night's stay plus dinner here which was a real treat BUT had i been paying I would have been very disappointed with my experience. Starting with the good points; the staff are fantastic, the bar area and restaurant are inviting and well decorated and service is good. The breakfast buffet is probably the... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
Hotel du Vin Brighton is situated in the Lanes conservation area, a pebbles' throw from the seafront. Its 49 bedrooms are housed in a collection of eccentric Gothic revival and mock Tudor buildings erected, appropriately by a wine merchant on the site of an old inn. Among many interesting features are a heavily carved staircase and bizarre gargoyles, while the original double-height hall now houses the wine bar and Laroche tasting room. The perfect venue for a picturesque wedding or party is the impressively large and airy Dome room. For the best tankered of local ale, Pub du Vin is one of Brighton city center's treasures with its classic pub dining. Out with the Brighton hotel is the wonder and inspiring town itself, with quaint streets dotted with fabulous shops, and of course the famous pier and promenade. ... more   less
