Nineteen is well located in the Kemp town area which is not a far walk from town or the seafront (it's just above Madeira Drive). The room we had was so comfortable and huge! We had a separate bath and shower in the ensuite and the bed was large with a good amount of floor & storage space. The bed... More

Rooms are very clean and staff are warm, friendly and helpful. Lovely breakfasts and enjoyed the croissant too. Breakfasts are freshly prepared and tasty. Location is great with town a few minutes walk and beach very close too.

Stayed here for one night, room was basic but fine. In the bathroom a few of the floorboards were quite warped and loose, and the shower head kept falling out of the holder. Still, we had a really good night's sleep and the location is really convenient. Breakfast served in the room was a lovely touch in the morning, especially... More

So I booked a room for my girlfriends birthday for 1 night at £133.00. All good. Intended to drive there, left in the afternoon, involved in a car crash. So I call the hotel to let them know our situation, cars in a pretty bad state, need to get it recovered blah blah.... we were not going to make it... More

Dear Trip Advisor, I would like you to delete this "review" because the person did not stay here! I spoke to him on the phone in the early afternoon and he told me his car had broken down - not crashed as he now states. He said he would call me back in an hour with an update, but he... More

Having read some previous reviews my wife and I were a little cautious after booking the Courtyard Room. As it turns out we had no need to be concerned. Yes, the room isn't the biggest in the world, the TV may be small and the bed may be a little low for some but the whole point of booking this... More

We stayed in the courtyard room with the hot tub. The room is very small. the bed was very low and not really what you would expect from a boutique hotel. The bathroom was basic and a little tired. Mildew on the tiles. Flooring worn. The internet was switched off at night. The table which breakfast was served on was... More

We are really sorry you were disappointed. Some of the things you referred to will be addressed in a refurbishment planned for this year. Our free wi-fi is not switched off at night - you should ask us if you can't connect to it. 17 teas, 5 coffees plus hot chocolate are available in our kitchen, which, as you point... More

My partner booked a night here as a suprise so i couldnt say too much at the time but.... it is extemely over priced for what it is. The laminate was peeling alot, probably due to a leak or some form of flooding. The shower had black mould all around it top and bottom. The shelf below the tv was... More

We are sorry you were disappointed with aspects of your room. Firstly let me clarify that Nineteen is a small 7 room guesthouse, and like most such properties we don't have a permanently manned reception. So we phone our arriving guests around noon to see when they will be arriving, to make sure we are here and to be able... More

Great location if you want to walk around Brighton, close to the pier and The Lanes. Teh champagne breakfast on the weekend was fab - the fresh fruit salad was amazing - mango, blueberries, strawberries, melon, pineapple, banana...more varierty than I was expecting! We started in 'The Den' which is smaller than the other room but was big enough for... More

We stayed at Nineteen for two nights as a birthday treat in November - and we will be back! We arrived, found parking right outside the hotel and Mark sorted out a parking permit for us - much cheaper than the local NCP parking. He then showed us to our room, and explained about breakfast, and the lovely communal kitchen... More
