We recently stayed in Lichfield House Brighton and I have to say although some previous reviews did make me concerned about our choice of hotel I was nicely suprised when we arrived. I cannot say what the other rooms were like but we stayed in the Cromwell room and it was very comfortable a good place to rest your head.... More

We stayed for 2 nights in the Cromwell room. It was lovely and spacious. Bathroom was quite small but does the job and was all extremely reasonably priced. The staff were extremely accommodating to all requests we had. Will definately be returning! More

We have spent one night in Lichfield House. The 'Cliffton' room was small, dark and had no window. Bathroom was so cold that there was no way we would have a shower. Approx 30 minutes after our check in someone tried to get into our room. It was another guest who was allocated to the same room as me &... More

Stayed here for 3 nights and was slightly worried after reading some of the reviews on here. We had the Cromwell Room which was simply stunning. The lady who serviced our room was there when we arrived and was very pleasant and helpful throughout our stay. The bed was one of the comfiest we have slept in, and I was... More

This is the only hotel we have ever stayed at that you wipe your feet when you leave... The room was filthy, there were somebody else's pubic hairs on the pillows and a half eaten sandwich under the bed. While my wife was taking a shower one of the very grubby tiles fell off the wall and hit her, at... More

This hotel is basic and not 4*. Had a room with an oddly designed 'wet' room which after a short shower soaked that room and then the bedroom carpet. Can't believe that the management are happy for this to happen every day. Tried to stop it happening and was worried how grubby the towel was when put on the bathroom... More

Whatever you do, do not make the mistake of booking this so called 4 star hotel. We took one look at our room and decided we did not want to stay there. After eventually getting through to reception which is from a phone in the lobby, we were told we would not get our money back, so we cut our... More

Where to begin with this review? If I had to sum it up in one word, I would struggle whether to use: awful, hideous or diabolical. We booked one night at Lichfield House hotel and were told we could check in at 2pm. We arrived later at 2.30 to find the room still hadn't been cleaned. There were beer cans... More

The room was very well presented, clean but basic. Athough some of the retro features ie furniture, bed etc were a nice touch, it may not be to everyone's taste. The important thing was it provided a good nights sleep, it was quiet and we were undisturbed. The decor was a bit drab and needed redoing ie skirting boards/walls/carpets etc.... More

My boyfriend and I stayed here four nights for Brighton Pride in August. I reserved a room in May not looking at any review. Closer to the time my other half wanted to know where we were staying and we looked at the other reviews on here and I was very apprehensive. However, when we arrived (we had the Oriental... More
