There was no heating inside the room for the two days, I had to leave the shower on to steam the room to get heat! Please... More

Having read some of the reviews I was a bit worried - and yes it is an old fashioned hotel - a bit tired but I found it comfortable and clean with good size bedroom and bathroom and all the facilities required. Most importantly the reception and other staff were very friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. We... More

Just one short note. The hotel has no heating. The boilers are out and will apparently be for two months. I checked in on a cold evening and checked straight out again when I arrived in the freezing room. I was offered an electric fire but decided to move on. Hugo, the manager, was courtesy itself and acted quickly and... More

I booked this hotel for a last minute Easter weekend break , the rate was very reasonable considering the location and they were the only hotel I could find that would take a two night booking over easter , as it was I extended my stay by one night for a very fair price. Having read some of the reviews... More

I last minute booked four nights in Brighton via booking.com and the Imperial was the cheapest available with free wi-Fi at £60 a night for an ensuite double room with a bath. Lovely, if a little dated hotel. Whilst I didn't eat in the hotel the dining facilities looked excellent. This hotel isn't directly on the seafront though I did... More

The hotel was ok; it is located in Hove so it is not very near to the center of Brighton. It takes 20 minutes at foot to get from the hotel to the Brighton pier on foot. The staff was very kind and are always happy to help. Rooms are quite small but comfortable. Breakfast was good. More

My partner and I have just stayed at the Imperial Hotel for 2 nights B&B, £5 short of £200. First room (twin) both the beds were in a state of collapse and we had a terrible night's sleep, second room (1 double, 1 single, cold tap did not turn on in the bath and room smelt very damp. Was told... More

Stayed with boyfriend for one night. Chose this spot as was close to gig. Arrived and was informed by staff that boiler was broken and there was no heating. No discount or anything offered by staff to help soften the blow. The lady at reception seemed quite ambivalent towards us checking in at all! Thankfully was a lovely warm weekend.... More

Booked this hotel as it is one of the few that would accept a booking for just a saturday night and at a very reasonable price compared to others in Brighton. Having read other reviews on here I wasn't sure what to expect. On arrival the young lady at reception was very polite and advised that they were having problems... More

I stayed at the Imperial Hotel in 2011 and thought for the money it was good value. Sadly that cannot be said now. The once helpful staff had been changed for staff who really did not care about their jobs or their guests. The lift was out of order so we had to climb to the fourth floor to a... More
