My family booked three double rooms as a birthday present back in January. For Weekend 17-19th May .My daughter had asked for us to be close together. We were on 1st floor, one was on 4th floor and the other room was over nightclub. We could not have been further apart. I enquired about parking and was told the closest... More

Joining it's sister hotel "Britannia Airport Hotel, Manchester" in the top 5 worst hotel's I've ever stayed in, The Albion is more Jim Royle than suited to the Queen. Good Points: Great location, room overlooked the Pier. 10/10 Bad Points: Room smelt of stale fags, Floorboards in room above creaked, Sash windows didn't seal, so were loud & rattley and... More

The first room (421) we had was a disaster. Outside the window were 2 big generators which created immense heat and noise in the room. The bathroom was completely laughable! The shower leaked into the bedroom and the sink did not drain. On a plus side after complaining we were upgraded to a sea view, smoking room. The staff were... More

Britannia Hotel's Brighton location is one terrible, disappointing experience from start to finish. We were visiting Brighton for a weekend as two couples and another friend with three rooms booked (2 doubles and 1 single). Our room had a rate of £90 per night which is not expensive by Brighton's standards but neither is it the cheapest offering. The whole... More

Booked via booking.com in February for a twin room stay at this hotel. Checked in at 11.30pm, given room number 183- take note- this room has no windows. We opened the door to an overwhelming stench of mould and damp! It was so bad we didn't even put our suitcases down in the room. We returned to reception, we're told... More

I've given this all 1's despite the fact that the location us actually pretty good because nothing on earth should make anyone want to stay here. A 3* hotel? Hardly deserves a 1*! It really is grimy and past it, a couple of million refurb would do it the world of good. It's a beautiful old building in the best... More

We stayed for two nights, the room was very basic but clean, lovely sea view. The only thing wrong was how cold the room was, and bathroom could of done with a better clean. The photos online were quite deceiving.

Maybe if you didn't drive it'd be ok, but lets face it, if you didn't drive to it your probably living in Brighton. Parking prices pathetic. £10 for 4 hours? Ncp car parks are cheaper than that in Birmingham city centre and I refuse to go there. It was cold, very basic. The only good thing was the food and... More
