To All Guests: It is with great regret that we announce that Gerrards Hotel has been forced to close. It turns out our Landlord had not paid his mortgage payments on the building and the bank has repossessed it and changed the locks. The business was evicted by the courts without any say in the matter and has closed down.... More

We stayed at Gerrards for 2 nights for the halloween weekend . Staff were really fun and friendly and we felt completely at home . The room was a real treat and and the full english breakfast was really large and tasty . Perfect central location for everything . Probably the most coolest little hotels in brighton . More

I have just returned from a two night stay at gerrards in the 'Zen' room and i must say for what we paid (£110 for two nights) then its excellent value. Pro's : AMAZING location. Right next to St James street and the pier and few minutes walk into town. The price. Themed rooms - Quirky and very different. The... More

I've just been to this hotel with 5 girl friends. We were made to feel very welcome and I loved the theme rooms. Each one was different and there had been so much attention to detail. The hotel was clean, beds were comfortable and the service was excellent. We had a lovely breakfast with free range bacon and delicious sausages.... More

Adored this place, much better than some fuddy duddy B&B, this hotel had a bit of PHZZZZZAZ about it! THEMED ROOM - We stayed in the island room, and were given a discounted rate as the bathroom was being re-decorated. Only bad thing about this room was it was right at the top of three flights of stairs but you... More

We stayed in the Oriental Room which is at the top front of the hotel, it has a sea view and looks over the squares garden and is individual and quirky. Good points are staff very welcoming, quite clean, breakfast excellent, central location. Bad points are room a little worn and a bit overpriced if honest, very noisy early in the... More

We stayed in the Kasbah room which was nice but could be much better. The mattress needs replacing on the bed as it was terrible, there is no curtain for the shower meaning baths are the only option, and the door to the room is way too thin (which is weird as the room is right next to reception). Bathroom... More

Stayed one night in the Jungle room, used to staying in large chain hotels on business so this was at my expense, stayed in the Jungle room which was fantastic (although next time I will shut the window before I go to bed, so as not to get woken up early morning!). The staff are good natured and extremely helpful... More

When we arrived, all of the front of hte B&B had scaffolding on it. When we were shown to our first room, we were greeted by a builder looking through the window at us. We asked ot move rooms, which the hotel manager agreed. The room looked great, but was very bed cover had a stain on it, plus we... More
