This hotel is in a good position to visit Sherborne town and the delightful sites eg Abbey the Castle and the quaint streets which are a pleasure. The hotel itself needs a little TLC from the outside. However, the bedroom was comfortable and clean as was the bathroom. The bedroom faced the gardens and was quiet and pleasant. The staff... More

This hotel is in a perfect situation for visiting the whole of the dorset coastline and attractions like glastonbury or cheddar caves. It is a bit dated but really comfortable and the staff we dealt with were all helpful and always had a smile on their faces like they actually enjoyed working there. Breakfast was an absolute pleasure plenty to... More

This an old THF Post House and it shows. But for a tired old lady she still does a good job and for not much money. Location - Good, right at the end of the Yeovil to Sherborne main road. Bad, waaaay out of town and the frantic action that is Sherborne (not). 1st Impression - The drive up to... More

Staff are friendly and the hotel is a little bit dated. My Dutch parents in law stayed here when we got married in Sherborne and actually had a good time. However there are nicer places to stay in Sherborne. As a budget option this is a good bet. More

Ok then - this is an odd one! My wife and I booked this hotel as a week break in March with the 'in-laws' as we both desperately needed a break from the rat race. The promise of tranquility and realxation was just what we needed. Ok first things first...we are both nearly 40, but knew that as the brochure... More

Took advantage of a 3 night break @ £69.00 each. Room (101) was large compared to some hotels: usual facilities. Some mould behind curtains and wallpaper lifting in one or two places, several chips in the bath. Twins beds comfortable. Dinner adequate with 3 choices of main meal. Breakfast very good. Staff professional and friendly. Singers on 2 nights but... More

I recently organised a weekend break for 12 friends at this hotel. We all had comfortable rooms mainly on the ground floor and found the hotel to be a cosy home from home. The breakfast buffet offered a good variety and suited all our tastes and the evening meal offered a choice for each course including vegetarian options. It was... More

Our party of 8 stayed here on a 3 night DB &B Break from Friday 20th which included a half price bar. Excellent value for money, Breakfast was filling and Dinner was good on all three nights and Willard Ford their singer on Sunday was in tune with his audience who were most appreciative. Only complaint from me was the... More
