My boyfriend and I stayed here recently as we had purchased a Groupon deal. The weather was beautiful and the hotel is perfectly located for a trip to the beach, as well as a wonder in to town. The only downfall is, it is definitely aimed at an older audience - I think we were the only people in the... More

Booked a Superior room and the bed was the smallest Double ive ever slept in. It also was very soft causing us to roll in the middle so a very uncomfortable sleep. There was also a problem with the boiler which caused us to wash in cold water. When enquiring about this and when it would be fixed, there seemed... More

This is our 2nd stay at the hotel in 9 months and it was just as fab. We stayed again in room 224 on the 2nd floor at the front of the hotel. Though you can hear road traffic noise it certainly didn't worry us. The room is very large in an Art Deco style. The only criticism is that... More

We stayed for a three day dance holiday and booked a superior room at the front of the Hotel. The room was good in itself with interesting old high quality art deco furniture. The double glazed window did not fit properly and let in a lot of street noise which on a Saturday night was fairly raucous. I recommend booking... More

We have visited the Piccadilly Hotel many times with our Dance Group and have never been disappointed. The ballroom is top notch and we always have had a lovely bedroom. Some rooms are bigger than others, have doubles or two single beds. This hotel has been gradually upgrading and refurbishing all the rooms over the years and is our No.... More

I had very enjoyable stay for 5 nights. Superb ballroom. Excellent food, great choice, and at a very reasonable price - better than top hotels locally. Rooms were clean, and the decor was stylish. A relaxed atmosphere in the restaurant and bar, and staff are friendly.

Yesterday we had booked lunch at a hotel in Bournemouth, we were part of a group of twelve adults and unfortunately despite the receptionist of this hotel having accepted our booking they were neither prepared for us or able to offer Sunday lunch. However the hotel manager arranged for us at very short notice to go to the Hotel Piccadilly... More

It is always difficult to decide how to rate a B&B and therefore I always rate it on what it thinks it is and not what I think it is, thus a 5 here does not mean it is a 5 star hotel it means that it does exactly what it says on the tin. The hotel bar area was... More

I totally agree with topcat6562 and basically I could duplicate their report. Having been here 6 years ago and heard it was refurbished I was very disappointed to find that the lounge area furniture looked grubby and well used. The receptionist on duty on arrival was unhelpful and preoccupied. My room was small, smelt horrible and the bathroom very dated.... More

We have been going to the Piccadilly for many years and have seen a gradual falling in the standard of the package on offer. First the good things. The hotel has been subject to some much needed refurbishing of the bedrooms although this has led to supplements being charged to get a room that has either been "upgraded" or just... More
