Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

Stayed here at Christmas and enjoyed it so we've come back this weekend and what an amazing job they've done on the refurbishment. The rooms look lovely and are immaculate, excellent value for money. A special mention for the guys on reception especially Mikey and Juan who were so helpful and friendly, nothing was too much trouble and are an absolute credit to the Travelodge brand. Will definitely be coming back and have recommended this Travelodge to friends and family.

The room (208) had been very recently refurbished and painted. The gloss paint on the front and bathroom doors and frames was still sticky to the touch and the smell was very strong and unpleasant. I developed a headache due to the paint odour and this interfered with my sleep throughout both night's of my stay. When I checked into the room, I immediately returned to the reception to raise the issue with Juan, who was very helpful, apologetic and offered me the option of another room (301). Unfortunately, room 301 had also been recently refurbished and painted, and it equally smelt of fresh paint. The gloss paint on the doors and frames was likewise sticky to the touch. Therefore, I remained in room 208 for the two nights stay, but it was an unpleasant experience and my ability to sleep was significantly affected. Whilst an email was sent to me after booking informing me of refurbishment work and potential noise, nothing was mentioned during or after the booking process regarding the recent painting of the rooms and the unpleasant smell in the rooms. It was clear that the rooms had been painted very recently as there were some paint marks still on the carpet and the TV power and antenna cables were disconnected and tangled behind the table that the TV was set on. This required threading the cables around the back of the table with some difficulty. The bathroom had no shower mat and I had to use the only hand towel that had been provided. Additionally, the entrance to the hotel was virtually surrounded by a very large puddle of rainwater, making it difficult to enter the building with my luggage from the parking bays without getting wet. Some drainage or a ramp would have been helpful.

My husband and I just passed by for the night and it’s was a perfect stop over spot. Everything was very neat and very clean. The check out time is perfect for an extra rest in the morning and the staff, namely Tricia, was very helpful, warm and friendly. We would definitely stop over again!

We needed a place to stay close to the Bournemouth hospital. My partners mum and what a amazing women she was.. was unfortunately on her last days of her wonderful life. It was very stressful and a upsetting time for my partner.. and the family and myself. But accommodation wise at Bournemouth Travelodge the manageress called Raquel, and what a star she was. She was totally amazing and understanding and rearranged accommodation to suit the family needs. Can I point out nothing was a problem for her and her ability to make us welcome was outstanding and comforting. You need to have more understanding and caring managers like her. She is a real credit to your company. Thank you Raquel for sorting everything out and also the refund for leaving a day early. We will be back down and good luck with the refurbishment. Thank you Mr D Davies

My stay at the travelodge Cooper dean was lovely the staff were very accommodating for myself and my 6 month old. One member of staff who stood out the most for me was zoe. She was very welcoming and help me with my bags as I also had the pushchair. She was lovely and friendly and also helped me with the vending machine as I could not for the life of me figure out how to use it. Thank you zoe for all your help. Will definitely be back soon.

Very comfy, clean room with comfy bed. Nice looking building right next to Toby. Staff great especially Juan, who was so polite and very helpful with our heavy luggage. Would definitely use again, ideal for Bournemouth hospital and airport. At £35 per room you cant get better.

This hotel was just what I needed. I used it as a base to visit my mum in her final days in Hospital. It honestly made a huge difference to the truama. There is a gate between the hotel carpark and the hospita car park, which meant it was literally seconds away. The staff were friendly, the rooms were comfortable and clean. I would really recommend to anyone going through this sort of experience. Thank you
