WE love Bournemouth and booked a 3 night stay in what seemed ideal location just outside centre of town and short walk to Boscombe pier. What we did not expect or desire was the average age of other occupants being 80+ and the food being totally driven by their standards/needs. So bad was our evening meal that we left it... More

We stayed at the Suncliff, for a long weekend break - with some of the party arriving on a Thurs and some on the Friday. The booking was also 'awkward' because it involved changes of rooms and moving grandchildren as and when their parents arrived. We are very grateful for the kind and professional service of all the staff concerned.... More

My friend and I booked a two night stay at this hotel with a groupon voucher. Things we enjoyed: - Without exception, the staff were friendly and helpful. - The close proximity to the beautiful beach. Things we were disappointed by: - When we attempted to use the pool at around 1pm on a Sunday, it was murky and we... More

We live just 2 hours away from Bournemouth, and decided rather than just going for the day to check out what the hotels on the East Cliff area had to offer. In the past we have gone just for the day or to a B&B. These days though, I am of the opinion that hotels are a better bet, especially... More

Really fancied a Sunday roast and preferably one cooked by someone else :) First time eating out on my own so was a bit apprehensive about going for a sit down meal but needn't have worried. All of the staff are so friendly and helpful that I felt right at home from the minute I walked in. Wonderful food too... More

Malaguti33 The Sunday roast is amazing value and well scrummy! It is very popular and appeals to all ages. I am happy to see you agree. I do suggest to book as it can get very busy between 12.30 and 15.00. I hope you will return and ask about our loyalty scheme where you can save even more. The pianist... More

Just back from a 4 night break at the Sun Cliff Hotel Bournemouth, not our first time at this hotel and it wont be the last, we had room 107 sea view a big room very comfortable the bathroom fittings are a bit dated about 1930's but then what the hell it all worked, the staff are very good especially... Just returned from our second visit to this hotel and both times we were looked after really well by friendly staff who were always cheerful and willing to help. We were allocated a penthouse room close to the lift as we had a wheelchair user which was very clean and spacious, with a huge bathroom and amazing views of the... More

We managed to get the last room in Bournemouth on a Saturday night and paid a fortune for a sea view room. The view was fine but the room was desperate - the decor looks like the 1950's with anaglypta wall paper, broken tiles in the bathroom and all needed a good clean. However, the staff were extremely polite and... More

Bill J Thank you for your comments. We take all guest feedback on board and regularly use it to make vast improvements within our operation. Went to this hotel using a Groupon 1 night's stay voucher. Booking was a little complicated as I am a wheelchair user. The hotel is advertised as wheelchair friendly, although the young man who took my call assured me it wasn't, and I nearly cancelled. However, after I stated that my needs were not too extreme, he booked me and... More
