The hotel is only a five-ten minute walk to the cliffside lift which takes you down to the beach. Good location in a very pleasant area of Bournmouth. Staff in all departments were very friendly, helpful and efficient all times. Both dinner and breakfast in the restaurant were good. My partner and I took our 11 month old baby and... More

Stayed here on business with some trepidation as it had been booked for me and I knew it was an older, independent seaside hotel - which can be a bit hit and miss - plus Bournemouth has a bit of a reputation for attracting an older crowd. I needn't have worried as the hotel was friendly, had all the facilities... More

We only stayed 2 nights but we found the hotel was very good. The breakfast bacon was some of the best we have had. Good selection of food. The room was not huge but was very clean aa was the rest of the hotel, The only problem was the shower was very close to the wall and not very powerful,... More

Stayed here for a few days on business. My room was pretty standard, with it and the bathroom being clean and tidy. It was not a large room but was big enough, and the main criticism would be the quality of the TV and the quality of the picture which broke up occasionally. The food was not bad without being... We stayed with about 100 other at the hotel for a Masonic Ladies Festival . Everything from the rooms to service and from the food to the value for money were beyond our expectation it was just one of those very memorable weekends with friends where everything was just perfect. I cannot speak more highly than that . Go There!,, More

My Daughter had an offer to go to Spain for a week with a friend, leaving my son feeling a bit jealous. To rectify this I said we would go away for a boys weekend. I said we could go whereever he wanted and he picked Bournemouth, and spitulated he wanted a hotel with a pool. I found the Royale... More

Stayed on business for 4 nights and food was excellent each night. Better than you might expect from this type of hotel. The service in all areas was great even the maids smile and greet you ! The restaurant staff were tops with Agnese pulling the strings and being very efficient and loveable !!! All made for a great stay... More

Hotel reception staff friendly. Hotel room big but bed uncomfortable. Poor signal received by the TV. Shower not very powerful more of a trickle. It smelt terrible on landing leading to the room, smelt like someone smoking cannabis so was not a good first impression, the smell did not improve during our stay. Breakfast was ok with choice of cereal,... More

We travel Europe on a regular basis and use many different hotels. In the UK we have used Best Western Hotels for many visits through the Tesco Voucher system. We have used many over the period. some have been a little tired in appearance, but this is made up for in the hospitality given. This time we chose Bournemouth for... More

We have had a great holiday with our 6 yr old twin grandsons recently at Bournemouth`s Hotel Royale. We chose the hotel because of the swimming pool and the location to the sea front. When we 1st arrived there was a sign saying swimming pool closed but would be open the next day.I said to the receptionist oh no !but it was...
