Used this hotel for one night after going to a wedding. It was perfect for this, allowing one night stays unlike many others. Free parking was very useful. Stayed bank holiday weekend and had a lovely time, breakfast was good with plenty to eat. Tea/coffee facilities in the room with good quality tea/coffee not cheap brands. Room was very spacious. Plenty of places near by to eat and would recommend Ocean Palace food very good.

My husband and I were down from Cambridge for a wedding so needed just one night. The Silver How, unlike other hotels, allowed us to book just one night. I regularly visit Bournemouth and have probably stayed in 40 different hotels over the years, but I have used the Silver How most often. The reasons - good value- decent sized rooms - nice breakfast - wifi that actually works- easy parking- quiet position, in other words a good all round choice that ticks most of the boxes.

As soon as I opened the door I was met with a stale, musky smell in reception. I always like hotels to be fresh and clean. The parking was good and it was a short walk to the sea. The room was dated and the bathroom definitely needed refurbishment.
