Stayed in the family room for 3. Nice decor, very clean, spacious and the bed was really comfortable. Loved the little extras e.g toy box, DVDs, colouring pencils/book, board games, hand wash (smelt lovely) shower gel, fridge full of drinks and chocolate at a fair price, all great extras! Just returned from a 3 night long weekend stay at The Westbrook on our first ever trip to Torquay, and cannot fault this lovely little guest house at all. Maureen was extremely welcoming on our arrival, and showed us to our room which was cozy, comfortable and very clean and had everything we needed, including some lovely extras such as... More

We are a family of 4 (2 adults & 2 children) and stayed in the family room with bunk beds for the weekend, to attend a nearby family wedding. The decor of the room was a little dated, but it was clean and comfortable. The box of toys for the children was a welcome addition, and it was nice to... More

This was our first trip there. When Maureen realised Susan had some back problems and we were coming by train she met us from the station and gave us a lift back on return which made such a difference. It is a comfortable guest-house with very useful extras such as a mini-safe and iron and ironing board in each room.... More

I have just spent 2 nights at the Westbrook with other family members to attend a family wedding nearby. The room was clean and comfortable with everything I needed. Breakfast was good and small children catered for very well. The on site parking is a bonus and it is close to the seafront and shops.

We have just returned from our 5th stay at the Westbrook. As usual we had a very comfortable room with everything you would need at hand, a good breakfast and left relaxed. There is parking which is a bonus and the beach is a short stroll away. You would not be disappointed.

Michael and Maureen were very welcoming. We took our Grandchildren with us and there were plenty of games provided for them, which we found most usefull. If we go to Torquay again we would book The Westbrook. The breakfast menu was plentifull with a good variety of choice.

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
Maureen and Michael are resident owners of the The Westbrook, which is situated on a quiet street adjacent to the busy Belgrave Road in Torquay. A warm and friendly welcome awaits you at this family guest house, giving that little bit extra for families, with toyboxes, games, books, dvd's etc. For those of you who are not able to get away for several days at a time we also take bookings for 1-night stays, except in July and August. This could be particularly useful for business people or contractors who may only be in the area for 1 night. We are prepared to do a special 'early' breakfast during the winter months, or room only. We are ideally situated with plenty of entertainment, restaurants, pubs and local shops all within easy walking distance. We are only five minutes walk from the Riviera Centre, Torre Abbey, Princess Theatre, seafront and town centre. All rooms are en suite and are well equipped with hospitality trays, radio alarm clocks, hair dryer, mini safes, fridges with minibars, iron/ironing board, Freeview TV and information folders. Our dining room provides separate tables with a choice of breakfasts, to include full English and continental. Home cooked dinners using local produce and suppliers, where possible, are available daily, except during July and August. We have a residential license, so we are able to serve drinks with dinner or in your room. Look for our special 'out of season' breaks, offering great value for money. We also do themed weekends, to include Valentines, Mothering Sunday, Easter, and Turkey & Tinsel. We do not take stag, hen, or single sex groups. ... more   less
