Just spent a lovely weekend in Torquay and booked fairly last minute into the Glendower. We received a very warm welcome and shown to our spotlessly clean room with en suite. Towels, hairdryer, tea and coffee facilities, TV etc all included. Breakfasts were excellent home cooked and home made bread. The owners made us very welcome and allowed us to... More

Stayed here with young farmers for our national agm. The rooms were spacious and clean with good showers. There is good parking. The full English breakfast was amazing, good local produce and not greasy. Would stay again, the owner was very friendly and helpful More

Myself and my partner are both nurses with a young baby, we are in our mid 20s and wanted to get away for a night and get away from the stresses of work, when we booked the lady on the phone was really pleasant and helpful, when we arrived it was a different story, the man greeted us with "I'm... We stayed at the Glendower for a week early August having read previous reviews and were not disappointed. From the moment we arrived Peter made us feel very welcome and gave us lots of information and advice to help us enjoy our stay. Our room was large and airy, the bed really comfortable and the shower was refreshingly hot and... More

Warmly welcomed by Peter on our arrival. We had a lovely room (No. 10) with a Super King bed which was indeed very comfortable. Room decor very fresh and all toiletries supplied. Breakfast was served between 08:00 and 09:00 although we asked for an early breakfast one morning (07:00) as we were going to the Eden Project at St Austell.... More

We have stayed with Peter and Jacky a few times now and it gets better each time. Over the years they have made a lot of improvements to the building the most recent being double glazing so it eliminates a lot of traffic noise, and our room at the front had not long been re-decorated so everything was clean and...
