Being slightly biased as we have come to this B&B every year for the past 20 years, it is obvious that this B&B is fantastic. Always a fantastic welcome, even though it is owned by a Plymouth fan (up the Imps!). But you cannot hold that against them! The breakfast and room are first class, Jackie and Geoff are always... To put it simply, my 2 night stay at the Berkeleys of St James was superb. Having never stayed at a guest house before, I have to admit I was slightly apprehensive. As soon as I stepped into Berkeleys, my fears were put at ease. I was met by Jackie, who showed me to my very well appointed, and spotlessly... More

Second time we have stayed at Berkeleys with Geoff & Jackie. We travelled with my parents inlaw who are frail and needed a ground floor room. The Berkely had one, it was large with en suite and could have accomodated 3 people. Our room, although not en suite (the 4 others are), had a shower and wash basin with a... More

Spent one night here on our way way round the South West. Our double room was very clean and comfortable with an ensuite bathroom. The property is in a quiet street. The owner was very friendly and helpful. Upon arriving she was able to give us a map and show us where to see the sights. We were able to... More

I would definitely recommned this B&B, the owners were really friendly and helpful. I stayed in a double room which was very clean and a good size of two people and each room had an en suite which was very convenient! More

A very familiar atmosphere - always time for a talk to give tips for walks and trips in south england as well as locations in plymouth for getting excellent food and drinks - tidy and penible clean kept rooms - very comfortable and cosy - we had a relaxing time here and look forward to returning some time! I stayed in a single room in this guest house during a recent visit to Plymouth. This guest house is situated within close proximity (5 min walking distance)to the city centre but is in a very quiet position. My room although a little small was VERY clean and had all the facilities you would require. I found the owners to... More
