Stayed here during the British Firework Championships, and got a room for a very good price considering many other hotels were putting their prices up to a ridiculous level during the firework championships. The hotel is basic but comfortable. The welcome from the hosts was friendly. My room was not huge, and fairly sparsely furnished, but comfortable and clean enough... More

We had taken my elderly father down to my son's graduation on the Hoe. Dad is 83 and was given a single room on the first floor facing the road. It was OKish except for an elderly man the shower was in a cupboard with a step of about 18" to get into it, not the best for an elderly... More

We (elderly couple in the late 60s) stayed overnight at Riviera on 22 July 2011. Our arrival was warmly received but it turned out to be a great disappointment when we were guided to our room which was located at the attic. To reach the room we had to climb the steep steps as there is no elevator at the... More

The receptionists were kind and helpful. The room was small but it was enough for me. For continental Europeans : don't forget to bring a British plug adapter! The sink was not in the bathroom but next to the bed, which was a bit original. Apart from that, the room was well-equipped and very calm, for a pleasant night.

The Riviera Hotel near Plymouth hoe is in a great position as it is only 30 seconds walk to the sea front area. However a few things that I noticed were no extractor fan in the toilet, room doors that require a firm push to close properly (I could only close my main room door by leaning against it and... More

I was here for one night. Parking is easy if you arrive after 6pm and intend to leave before 10am. I did so. The owners are very friendly. My room was on the second floor with en suite. I saw several toilets/bathrooms which suggest that there are non en suite rooms. However, I cannot comment on such facilities. The room... More

My girlfriend, my mother and I stayed here 3 nights over the May Bank Holiday weekend, and were very impressed by the friendliness and helpfulness of the owners. The location is excellent, about 50 metres from the waterfront on The Hoe, and the private bar in the hotel was an excellent place to relax after a days touring. My double... More
