The place was cold, uncomfortable and not particularly clean. The decor extremely tired. The old man who owns the place rather sullen and generally unhelpful, but breakfast ok if you like it cooked in a cloud of cigarette smoke & ash.

I just needed a single en-suite room, basic accommodation for a couple of days. This place exceeded my expectations, considering the price asked per room per night. The owner Hugh was friendly and helpful, the breakfast was lovely and everything very clean, not to mention a very good location. I would definitely stay there again.
