This was quite simply a superb weekend. It was the first time I had been to Lynmouth and what a beautiful place it is. The experience however was greatly enhanced by the wonderful hospitality of Bev & Razor (Mark) who made us feel like one of their regulars, nothing was too much trouble.Razor's company in the bar in the evenings... I came down to Lynmouth & Lynton with my band The Freaky Dukes after speaking on the phone with Razor from The Village Inn and organising 3 gigs over the weekend firstly at the Cottage Inn, then the Crown Hotel and finally the Village Inn. Before we'd even arrived I already had an excellent impression of the staff and a... More

Fortunately, the Village Inn was open, and had rooms available even for those turning up on spec. It's what you'd expect from rooms above a pub - pretty... More

We've been to Lynton and Lynmouth many times. If you haven't been its well worth a visit! On a leisurely drive back home along the coast we stopped for another look around the shops and galleries in Lynmouth. In a moment of spontaneity, and it being a quiet time of the tourist year (February), we decided to try and find... More

We popped in for a drink and ended up stopping for a meal and the night! The sign outside the door welcomes muddy boots, dirty doggies and children so with a very dirty springer spaniel in tow we decided to pop in for a drink. Mark and Bev the owners made us all very welcome and within minutes our dog... More
