My wife and I stayed two nights whilst exploring the wonderful local countryside on Dartmoor. The Pub is right on the edge of what we beleive is the most beautiful part of the moor. The room was a very good size larger than many other 4* we have stayed in. They had 3 Caske Ales on and were very good,... More

We decided to go to this pub for lunch on Saturday 4th February as it is quite local to us & we have always had a very warm welcome on visiting by both the bar staff & the locals. We had heard different views on the food side but as we have family members coming to stay for a week... More

We stopped off for lunch with family and 2 kids. no kids menu, but that's not generally a problem for us - they offer smaller portions for £6, except we were charged £9.50 for our 6 yr olds meal as he wanted chicken and noodles, but this wasn't available in a smaller portion. Not sure why as it came in... More

On the way back to Oxfordhsire from my travells around devon & cornwall we searched out a decent looking restaurant, we checked out at least 4 before we found the Mulberry Inn in Cheriton Bishop, the waitress was a lovely friendly young lady and was very polite and happy, the place was relaxed and food was excellent, i had goats... We booked 2 rooms, both were very clean, bathrooms modern. Tea and coffee facilities in the room with small flask of milk provided. We didn't stay for evening meal as we were keen to explore Exeter which was just 20 mins drive to the city centre. Stayed up for a bottle of wine later and what we saw coming out... More

Nothing wrong with the property although it is in need of some TLC. Cups missing from the bedrooms and only one set of towels etc was all very sloppy but no big deal and it was sorted out. However the meal we were served was not good. The lamb was full of gristle to the point it was inedible -... More

We needed to drive back from W Cornwall to London quickly so I looked for somewhere near the A30 to stop for lunch. Crediton Bishop was perfect, less than a mile off the main road, a little West of Exeter. We drove past the first, thatched, pub in the village and stopped at the Mulberry. We were really glad we... The owner was very honest and rang us to say there was only one room left and she had already taken a booking via the phone (we booked via Laterooms.com). She had already offered an alternative (Venbridge Farm) to the phone booker which had been refused, not sure why. We were asked if we could swap and because we originally... More
