This was our 5th visit to stay at Halwell Lodge. It is located alongside the main road to St Ives in the village of Lelant. A short walk from the frequently passing train service to St Ives and from the beautiful, quiet Porthkidney Sands. Julie and Matt are the perfect hosts. Friendly and chatty. The rooms are kept spotlessly clean... More

My wife Carole and I had booked a holiday cottage in Porthleven but due to an oversight arrived one day early!! HELP....we need a B&B for tonight!! Having earlier driven through Lelant on our way to St Ives Carole remarked that there was a vacancy at Halwell Lodge, we returned to Lelant and drove up to the front door. Carole... More

We stayed at Halwell lodge for just one night as we were meeting our son at Lands End after his John O Groats to Lands End cycle, perfectly placed just outside St Ives and central to most popular destinations, although not set in the countryside our room, (2) did overlook the garden, there is also plenty of parking. Our room... More

I really enjoy spending my holidays in Cornwall, and Halwell Lodge is the perfect holiday accommodation for a relaxing, intimate, cosy holiday in Cornwall. We are always met with a very warm welcome, as both Matt and Julie are friendly, helpful hosts. The rooms are beautiful and the food is tasty, and not too heavy. Halwell is a comfortable distance... A lovely place, from the moment we arrived Julie and Matt made us feel very welcome. The rooms were spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated, the beds comfy and the breakfast was very comprehensive. As visiting St Ives can be a nightmere, as far as parking is concerned, this is a great spot as both bus and trains are within easy... More

My fiance and I stayed at Halwell for a 3-night break in July and loved it. The rooms are bright, airy, sunny, beautifully appointed, clean and comfortable. The breakfasts were excellent and the hosts very friendly and accommodating. We found the location ideal - away from the bustle of busy St Ives but with excellent train and bus links (or... More

We stayed four nights. Lelant is about 3 and a half miles from St Ives on the approach road from the A30. The B&B is nicely set back from the road and has good parking facilities - this is important in the context of St Ives which has chronic traffic and parking problems. The local train station for St Ives... More

We stayed at Halwell Lodge for three nights in September. Julie and Matt the owners were very friendly and welcoming and immediately made us feel at home. Our room on the ground floor, overlooking the garden, was spotlessly clean, very comfortable with good quality furnishings with a new flat screen television. Guests are free to use the pleasant conservatory and... More
