Holidaying in Newquay many times over the years since our first camping holiday there in 1960, we've often admired The Headland from afar. We finally stayed at there for the first time for the May Bank holiday. It surpassed our every expectation, from the wonderful Victorian lobby and grand staircase to the hi-tech indoor pool and the fabulous views from... More

Stayed here as part of a special interest group booking. We were given a price band range of rooms to choose from, we opted for an Ocean view room. Nice sized room with excellent views of the ocean as anticipated, the sound of the surf from the open window was fantastic. The window, when closed, along with the secondary double... More

Newquay itself is rather tired and a stag and hen retreat and if we hadn't stayed at the headland, we wouldn't have enjoyed the experience as much as we did. It's a fantastic Victorian building perched in an unbeatable location above Fingle beach with some great private nooks out front to park the complimentary deckchairs for a bird's eye view... More

The hotel stands in a superb position with great views; the building is impressive and generally well-maintained. My own room was reasonably well-appointed, but it lacked air-conditioning, and the outside facing room was stuffy even on a moderately warm day with open window. Although wi-fi was available, there was no business centre. I would expect these facilities in a four... More

We enjoyed very much our stay at the Headland. When booking we weren't too sure about staying at a pet friendly hotel, as it has the danger of having a bit of dog smell. Fortunately it was not the case, our room was spotless clean and smelled really nice...no traces of dogs or their smell! The service didn't disappoint either,... More

A large party of us stayed at The Headland on Sat (21 in total), although some of us had stayed regularly before, it was new to the majority of them. The level of service at this hotel is fantastic!! The staff are friendly and very efficient, the views are breath taking and the rooms are lovely. The Restaurant Manager Luke... More

Stayed at the Headland for 1 night last week with my husband for our 1st wedding anniversary. We visit Cornwall multiple times a year, but this was our first stay at the Headland and it was great. Stayed in a Fistral suite which I would definitely recommend - large spacious room with a sitting area, very large bathroom and a... More

We stayed in one of the Cottages for 3 nights in May. We found it to be extremely comfortable and finished to a high standard with everything you need readily supplied. The cottage was spotlessly clean and the sea views from our top floor living area were fantastic! The bedroom and bathroom were downstairs. Guest's using the Cottages also have... More

Thank you very much for your most kind review of The Headland. I am delighted to hear that you had such a wonderful stay with us. The cottages are a wonderful addition to the hotel. A lot of them have been designed as “upside down houses” so that the sea views can been seen whilst enjoying a drink on the... More

Another fabulous visit to the Headland Hotel. Greeted nicely by the diverse and friendly staff started off our romantic weekend in a fabulous way. The spa was a little crowded, however loved the steam and hot sauna. Dinner in the restaurant was personal with a beautiful sunset. Fresh fish locally sourced and interesting staff like Enzo at the bar made... More

We stayed for the May half-term for five nights having booked a 'Best Room' and a 'Courtyard Room' on the same landing for our family; my husband and I, our two teenage children and our poochie. When I made the reservation I was really pleased that we could book any standard of room with our pooch. We had room 210... More

Newquay's original 4* hotel and 5* cottages, surrounded on three sides by the sea. With stunning views of Fistral Beach, the Atlantic Ocean and Newquay Bay, this is your perfect beachside escape. Families, surfers, businessmen, couples - everyone is made to feel at home. Don't forget you can also bring your dog!Our stunning Wellness Area opened last year and is complimentary for Hotel and Cottage guests to use. Facilities include a heated spa pool with bubble seats and a jet stream, hot tub, aromatherapy showers, Swedish sauna and Cornish salt steam room.We are currently working on the final stage of The Headland Spa which will be unveiled in summer 2013. This will include a host of exciting features including a robed dining area and relaxation lounge, a nail salon for manicures and pedicures, a Rhassoul, St. Tropez tanning room, a hydrotherapy bath and a suite of luxury treatment rooms including a VIP suite for exclusive use.We are endeavouring to keep the disturbance to our guests to an absolute minimum, and would hope that the allure of the spa relaxation to come will overcome any slight inconveniences that might occur along the way. During some of these works, it may be occasionally necessary to transfer some of the dining arrangements from our main Restaurant to The Terrace, The Ballroom, or one of our more intimate private dining areas. ... more   less
